The bass line in this song is just too swift and to see the crowd clapping in sync with it. the coming years are for the global south to shine and dance on the beats of the bands like Mdou Moctar! Love and peace from India!

This energy is overwhelming. How good is taking some other culture's elements so you create a completely new vehicle to communicate your very own reality and cross the borders worldwide. Hats off. I wish some day I'll see you live.

@@baslielgugsa9259 I guess this is a fusion with rock. And to my knowledge rock comes from the West. But I don't care. I wanted to put in value the richness resulting of interchanging cultures. Greets

@@barnichua Rock comes from the Blues, and the blues is a style of music that comes from the African diaspora living in the Americas and fusing traditional music with western influences... to the best of our knowledge anyway, the musical developments of poor black people in the American South in the 1800s wasn't particularly well documented (for some reason). So, there's arguably a very distant common ancestor, but I think it's fair to say that they're fusing Tuareg music with classic rock. The style is called "Desert Blues" if wikipedia is to be trusted.

Why are they dancing male/male? It's because the women are not ALLOWED to even hear the "musicians" playing for "freedom"?

Yes. But ask yourself: freedom from what. Freedom doesn't mean the same everywhere. Let's say the Sahel has some issues with being used by rulers of the past.
