Hi Nathan, great video - lots to think about as I’ve just signed up for 2024. Based on your actual experience, what would you change with hindsight? Did the toe socks work, did you have too much food, for a big guy was the water provided enough, what etc. etc. What did you ditch on arrival in camp? Was there anything else that you wished you had bought along?

Thanks. The first thing you have to consider is if you’re a competer or completer. That will have the biggest impact on how much weight you ditch. The biggest thing I would change would be training for time on my feet. I trained distance but not enough on time. The long day wrecked my feet so that was tough. Water was enough and I was glad I took so much food. Good luck for next year 👍

100% I’m a completer and so main goal is to finish! With as much fun and little pain as possible!

I didn’t actually wear it in the day. It was very tight and I wanted something a little more breezy. I wore it in the nights though and it was good to take my running top off every night 👍

Hi , I’m thinking of applying for the 2024 event, I’m no ultra runner, or marathon runner, just want to do something , that is a bit different, was it expensive to enter?, and other related costs… well done by the way …..🥳🥳

Hi Sid, A bit like you, I’m not a marathon runnner. It was an experience that I will cherish forever (didn’t feel that way whilst it was happening though 🤣🤣) It’s about £5k to enter so not cheap. The associated costs are dependent on how light/comfortable you want to be. I spent about an extra 2k but could’ve easy spent another 1k. You could spend a lot less if you look on EBay or know people that have the kit. If you can afford it you’ll never regret it 👍
