Actually Mahira would have been too glamorous for that role in Zindagi Gulzaar Hai (ZGH) and so they chose a sober looking nerd, yet woman with sharp, attractive features whose silence evokes a thousand words , outrightly independent minded, lady sensitive to the hilt, but with a highest sense of self respect or Khuddar kinda person just the way Sanam saeed had been in ZGH. Hats off to Sanam and the Writer Director. At the end it is the kind of values and upbringing more so define what kinda human being you re... notwithstanding this Hindustan Pakistan stereotype stuff. For the west, we make no difference as we re all south asians. Lets grow out of racist and territorial affiliations, learn to better humans, and create a better world around us "together".
