I am that friend, I always like to say these things like this to my friends "I'm a parasite you can't get rid of me" "the only way to get rid of me is to throw me away yourself" and alot of my friends only see me as positive almost never sad just a hyperactive person. I also have huge attachment issues and am scared to be left by people, so even if someone hurts me, I shrug it off and stay with them. I even am toxic to myself due to my dark humor of self insult humor. My parents are worried and want me to get new friends, but I'm too scared to lose people. Even if my friends hurt me or not the best I didn't want to lose them, I was sort of the joke of the group and I made myself a joke, I joked about my pain and trauma and it even disturbed people around me. My attachment issues are even worse because I'm not social and if I loss friends I'm scared I won't make more. ok, but when the person kept saying negative things to the other pne who wanted to be their friend. . Always! ALWAYS! Check that your words aren’t hurting the other person! Don’t just do this once but constantly! You don’t want them to feel like sh*t! For example me and my friend group call each other sl*t, sl@g, pig, hippo, whale, gorilla, fat ect We all are okay with it. Everyone finds it funny. This is good, this is okay. Nobody’s hurt by this. We do check that they don’t mind. On the other hand, I had two friends who had this ‘banter’ and one of them always took it WAY to far. (I was not aware this was that bad until they stopped talking) Person A would try to express their feelings about it upsetting them and Person B basically ignored them. Person B did not check if Person A was okay with it and after a while Person A got fed up with the constant verbal abuse from Person B. ‘You can never do anything right’ ‘This is why your mother doesn’t love you’ (Their parents spilt up and their mother for some reason refuses to talk to them…) ‘Your actually a huge disappointment to your family, they just don’t tell you because you’ll become more of a burden then you already are’ ‘You know that person doesn’t actually like you, there faking it because your always too sensitive’ ‘Careful (Random Person), don’t let your dog near them! They will eat it because their Chinese!’ IF Person A had made it VERY clear that they were okay with this, this wouldn’t have been a problem. There were okay with it at first. But very quickly, they found it upsetting and frustrating. Person A stopped saying ‘mean’ things back, they tried to stop the banter. But Person B just kept going…

I was talking to one of my friends while they were over at my house. We ended up venting. She told me that the night before I met her she tried to khs and yet it didn't work. She was too scared and planed to do it again the day I met her. Once the day was over, and we had Descendants practice (theater at school) I had met her curled in a corner and I spoke in "a comforting yet stern voice" while asking if she was okay. She lied and said she was but I didn't believe her. I gave her hope and I saved her life that day without even knowing her. She could have not entered theater, I could have not entered theater, she could have been absent, her attempt previous you have worked. She many fvcking things could have gone wrong but it didn't. Eventually I invited her to our lunch table and she said she went to school every day and always looked forward to lunch because of us. Over a year later she is alive and happier. I'm so glad I stepped in. I saved her life.
