That banded ankle mobility exercise allowed me, for the first time ever, to have a more upright torso in my high bar squat. I've tried every other mobility exercise out there I could find (between you, K Star, etc) and nothing has helped as much as this. THANK YOU!

I'm new to strength training and your videos have been a great source of info and inspiration for me. Thank you, Bryce. I'm having a lot of trouble keeping my upper back in place during bench, its very frustrating. I cant keep them together during the latter movement. I understand why this is done, but in practice it feels counter intuitive to focus on keeping one part of your body back while pushing another forward. Unless I'm doing it incorrectly.

great mobility tip. I had an operation on my feet when i was 6months old that severely limits dorsiflexsion, even with olympic shoes. i hadnt ever performed a squat for about 2 years of training due to it. Who knew low bar, moderate-wide stance squats existed...?!

+Bryce Lewis Nice vid! Question, any tips for getting your chest up that high to reduce the range of motion? I am a tall guy and I just haven't figured out how to get my chest up that much, which makes my arms range of motion quite big and my triceps go past parallel to the floor. Any feedback would be appreciated! Thanks!

awesome, i'm gonna try that out. ankle dorsiflexion is something i've been working on but haven't found a way to provide enough force to change the tissue significantly. hopefully this does the trick.

So in order to make that U elbow shape you let your elbows touch your ribs sorta while benching?
@brycebyte
@brycebyte 11 жыл бұрын
Not quite...you're basically looking to preserve vertical forearm segments in the bottom of the bench press with elbows slightly tucked.

Basically getting stronger. So, speed work and DB presses or DB floor presses are movements I love. Shorts were on sale from sport chalet or sports authority I believe, a year ago.

Thanks for the mobility tip! I'm 6'3 with long femurs and my ankle mobility sucks--my knee barely goes over my toes even with Oly shoes, so it's definitely something I need to work on. That's the Elite FTS Light band right? Also, your Bench is just sick, man.

Bryce Lewis Bryce do you think squat toilets help with mobility, srs? I find people from countries that use those are more flexible. I am also fortunate to be able to to ATG squat without mobility issues, but it does surprise me to see even girls here in north america who can't squat without going on their tippy toes.

i keep losing upper back tightness thus my arch, my shoulders always slide away from me because the bench is slippery :/
@GudMarty

I always bench either after I deadlift or squat and the fact that my back is sweaty helps my back be more sticky to the bench lmao. Pretty gross but it definitely helps me keep my arch and increase my leg drive.
