honestly, i think shrek being the "gulag" is a key part of why its so good. you've put some of your finest, crankiest, sleep deprived animators on a project doomed to fail, and they are spiteful enough to 1) make it one of the best animations at the time, and 2) not care if it pisses off the higher-ups. nothing dreamworks can make will ever one-up shrek, because the success of shrek is entirely reliant on dreamworks _not caring_ about shrek. theyve managed to capture the humor and energy with the sequels and puss in boots but you can still tell that they lacked the distinct feralness the original had. for the same reason that the bee movie is a fever dream because it was an isekai before isekais and the lorax was _off_ because it was made by the people the book warned us about, shrek will forever be remembered as a cultural sensation because the animators were allowed to do whatever the fuck they want.

The fun thing about Jesters and Jester's Privilege is that it actually extends directly to the traditional outfit a Jester wears. They are literally adorned in a comical exaggeration of a king's vestments - with the bell-tipped cap resembling a crown and the marotte, a scepter - to mark them as a member of the royal court. So every time a jester ran their mouth, either out of genuine ignorance to someone's social standing or as the set-up to a planned comedy, you let them do it because bodily retaliation was punished harshly because the jester was, by law, an extension of the King's will. My baking and pastry teacher in college was so serious about working with hot sugar. As soon as you take that pot off the stove, you have to constantly and loudly say "hot sugar" until you no longer are holding it. If you don't say it, you're kicked out the kitchen and failed for the day. Hot sugar is definitely no joke and even the clowns in my class knew to not screw around.

So being autistic my family had to teach me different things from the list like: You're supposed to smile for photos even when its not sincere. You're supposed to look at someone when you talk to them. Conversations are supposed to be turn based, but you can't expect to get a turn in every conversation unless you are loud. ^ followed by don't be loud its rude. And also I have learned the most effective way to be able to speak is to raise my hand, because even though people will look at me funny, if I keep it raised long enough the person speaking will be guilted into letting me speak.

Growing up I noticed a little pink dot at the tip of one of my fingers. It never went away. I figured it was just something weird about me. I mentioned it to my mom for the first time a few years ago and she asked me which finger. I held up my ring finger and she started crying. Apparently, when I was just a couple of weeks old, she accidentally snipped the tip of that finger while trying to trim my nails and I bled and cried. She’s felt guilty about it my whole life! I was her first baby and she was just barely 20 at the time asks I was a preemie.

To be fair here though, radium may be bad in large quantities due to it being radioactive ... it is used in the aid with chronic pain. And if you dont have any pain, you arent stressed and being stressed ages you fast. Also your skin relaxes which mean your skin will look better. Though both is more likely because of the hot water, not the afforementioned raidium.

Plus Radium is more dangerous when ingested. Not saying that can't happen with a hotspring, or that it's 100% safe. It's just not gonna stick around too long unless you're drinking the water or working there and are exposed to it constantly.

Not my parents, but my older brother with the injury. When i was like 1 and 1/2 or whenever i started teething, we had this high chair that would fold into a little desk. And it would be my brother's job to fold the chair after we were done eating. Anyway, while my dad's back was turned, my brother finished eating and then tried to do his job, with me still in the chair. So apparently one of the pieces that folded up hit me in the face and caused my tooth to scrape the inside of my lip. There was a lot of blood so i had to be taken to the ER, luckily no stitches, but i still have a scar there to this day

I really REALLY want a local tomato now. Most produce at the super market is artificially ripened to look good, but is shipped pre ripened so they survive shipping long distances. I have Two scars, both have some variant of association with my dad. The first is about 2IN (5cm) long scar on my right elbow. I broke my arm at the age of 5 or 6. The only thing that I remember from that night was sitting at the top of our stairs and my dad losing his patients with me yelling at me to answer where I here because was crying too hard to speak. he may or may not have smacked me across the head. The second scar is far smaller at .5 in (1.27 I'm) on my left pointer finger knuckle. I was cutting out a Pinewood derby car using my dads tools. It was vertical saw blade machine. The wood block jerked forward and cut me. I turned to my dad and told him what happened. He said I was fine to finish cutting the block to finish the car. I asked to at least to go get a bandaid. He said no, it won't bleed. . . . He was right.

Some of my parent inflicted injuries (Non intentional): 1. 3 cigarette burns from my sleepy stupid father! 2. 4 welding pen also from my father 3. another 2 cigarette burns but from my mother 4. A broken arm, from my mothers best job at waxing the floor and forgetting to tell me and my father (he also got a broken arm, my mother just got a 2 for one) 5. A broken nose from my fathers best football shot! (still remember the leather of the ball hit my face) I don't have the best memory but these are the ones that happened in the last 2/3 years.
