People need to watch their tone because often the message gets lost behind the attitude. The tone can truly change the outcome. So people need to realize you can’t talk to people any way they want and not expect a reaction.

They both understood what they do to trigger each other, and R both willing tonwork on it instead of seeing well I will if U will type situation or where one thinks they did no wrong and torally blames it on the other. That is what it is all about, helping each other so that U both can be good for the children so that the children can get what they need from both of U. I’m find myself being just like him, with wanting to fix the problem “right now”. 1st off, I LOOOOOOVE Karamo. 2nd These two were dope people and I’d LOVE to see have seen them hold their family unit together. Sad that it broke. 3rd I have sooooo many questions here! I feel like we MUST be missing a whole heap of their story, and that’s ok, their laundry is… BUT I pray to God a beautiful family such as this, didn’t break apart because he said to “calm down” and she said, “You think you’re perfect” a beautiful black family didn’t break because this shoddy communication and triggering language, which I get, didn’t get resolved. because this little window in gives off that narrative, which I’m PRAYING it was more. Why praying? I can’t help but go back, to a hellish time, where our babies, we’re torn from their mothers arms, families separate, to break and control us… with the ripple effect still ricocheting to this day… and as a people, at a time, where we could make our unit stand and flourish, we’re choosing to walk away because the person we once fell in love with, triggers us, and we can’t figure that out, for the sake of the children. We have to have another strong single black woman and a dad out the house? We can’t address this narrative? TD Jakes talks about love, marriage and what it takes to really love each other, and WORK through a relationship to see it through, build it and make it. 4 years and they’re through? I’d have LOVED to see THEM work, just as a lay person looking in, because they looked beautiful!! I dont want us, to be professional coparenters, I’d love to see us winning in love and marriage and career, the whole shibang, why not? He, like most men, has strength and a delicate sensitivity as a human being that as women we need to know how to love and respect our men, without emasculating him. Being his peace and safespace and vice versa, women, as I am, black, strong, smart and sensitive. We all deserve to become better with each other… but just because it gets hard, it isn’t a licence to quit. Otherwise we’ll never truly take off. So, again, I pray there’s more to this, because otherwise we’re the generation of quitters, want it all ready made and perfect, with no capacity to put in the work it takes to BUILD the most important institution of them all… a family

Relationships of any type involve giving, taking, and at times, compromising. She was able to articulate how Marcus using certain trigger words made her feel, and she expressed that he wishes he wouldn’t provoke her with words, however, what I did not hear from her is in what way she plans to modify the way that SHE communicates with him, which may lead to him provoking her. This isn’t a one-way street. They both have some changing to do.

She a whole goofy. its cool to be a strong black woman but you also need to know how to be soft and vulnerable. He is not your child so you cant talk to a man like a child. Then you got Karamo high fiving her for the stereo typical black woman stuff, the neck rolling, finger snapping and one liners like she is Michelle Obama when she really is a character from a Tyler Perry movie. A woman like her if she want to seperate I have no problem with let her be somebody else's problem. Her trigger word is "calm down" maybe because you should and this is probably not just to the ex but anyone she encounters has to deal with her strong, masculine self. Men choose who you lay down with and if you want someone who calm and compassionate this is the blue print on who not to choose. Or you will endure years and years of torment, this I can guarantee.

This show is horrible for the black community. If someones response to you is always “calm down” maybe you should check your delivery? You don’t have to go off on him in order to ask him to do something. the host sides with whoever wrote in to be on the show, not with logic at all. Hey Karamo, how about you start holding your guests accountable? - A black woman.

You want your boys to see you getting all aggressive and emasculating their dad? No maam, he doesn’t want that and you shouldn’t either, they’re learning from y’all.

Idk about Karamo giving relationship advice between a man & a woman, especially blk men & women.. he seems like he's always on the woman's side, like apart of the girl code that women already have for eachother no matter who's more right or wrong just blane the man & problem resolved!
