@@NewYorksMostWanted nah, Cable Guy isn’t that underappreciated. Me, Myself and Irene was way more underappreciated. I know that Cable Guy is considered a flop, but it really wasn’t when you listen to what people say and reviews of it, people love the Cable Guy! It gets mostly positive reviews from what I understand and people even bring up how underrated it is, so in reality Cable Guy wasn’t that underappreciated, if at all. Me, Myself and Irene hardly ever gets brought up at al, so it’s definitely his most underappreciated movie out of his comedies, anyway

Fun Fact: The "kisses" scene with his boys wasn't scripted, Jim Carrey improvised, expecting the other three to crack up and instead they rolled with him, the director thought is was too good to leave out. Also, what I love about this movie is that Jim Carrey comes out and attacks anyone that makes him angry, but he never once comes out when his kids are around. He loves his three black sons and is never angry with them. It's just too wholesome.

@samuelhecocta7246 hey there honey...I just want you to know that there are people out in the world thinking about you. MANY have and are going through some of the things that you are going through right now. PLEASE take my advice, get in touch with a therapist AND get in touch with a drug support program to deal with YOUR FEELINGS OK? I'M a 5xs cancer survivor and a former cocaine and crack addict ok? The link I'm posting world the same way as Al-Anon that's what family and friends of alcoholics. Of course it is worldwide AND you can also do it virtually. YOU need help not just her, she may never choose to get the help she needs. But you AS her codependent person need to learn how to face the facts that this may not happen for her. You need to look AT yourself and learn that you may have to separate yourself from this relationship if she's using. Understand this~You can love someone and at the same time hate the things that they do and very angry or disgusted with the way that they act ok? This is normal and it does not change who you are... You're not a bad person to think this way. You have to LOVE YOURSELF in all the right ways in order to love someone else ok? You have to be ready to deal with the facts that in a relationship your person has to be good TO you and good FOR you okay? Believe me I am not saying this as a judgmental person because I have been THAT PERSON.... I have also BEEN YOU in other relationships too. So trust me when I tell you I've done it both ways. Part of WHY I left my first marriage is because I GOT CLEAN but my husband DIDN'T okay? I walked out on an apartment, a husband, and a business, and in part my husband wasn't very nice IF I'm going to be honest here. BUT a lot of that was drug fueled... BUT the other side of the same that's also no excuse either for bad behavior. I know what it's like to try and fail, I know it's like to have a lot of time and lose it... I had 10 years clean and lost it. Now I'm back for almost 20 years, but it takes work. Threats as you know don't work, negotiating doesn't work, begging doesn't work, ultimatums don't work. SHE had to want it for herself. What you can do is lay down your boundaries BUT you must keep to them if she crosses them. You can't have boundaries and expect somebody to respect them if you keep moving the goalposts back for them. Do you want to know the word that every addict in the world hates worse than that anything else? NO. There you go and now you know. This is a selfish existence on a lot of levels you see? It's physical it's mental and it's emotional. THIS goes for you too... And I know that you know this about yourself because you are strong enough to say that you're struggling. DON'T EVER think that you can OR SHOULD handle this alone... there's a worldwide network here for you. When it comes to your Mom check out the second link I posted FOR YOU. It says for caregivers... It's really not just for them it's for caregivers AND for family members okay? It'll help you go through the Taking Time For Yourself tab and Finding Support Groups and I'm sure there's virtual ones. You can call the number on the link for the American Cancer Assn and they can help you search for one for you. You just tell them what's going on. And a bit about whatever you know with her situation and another thing... Most groups have a buddy system like NA and AA if transportation is an issue. You kick in some gas money and you share the ride with a fellow group member. Idk how old you are or if you work or drive or what your Mom's stage is at or how involved you are as her caregiver or if family is helping out. But they can also hook you up with ppl for that, a lot of these groups have ppl who give back in service with household issues. It works off a rotation of like cleaning service let's say and they give reduced rates or in some cases even donate time to clean or help you cook. They're all within the community, many are former cancer patients and their family and friends. You can ask the ACA about these services. My friends Mom just had cancer (again) this past summer and two of my friends had it last year, and a buddy of mine had 2 kinds at once two year ago also. I grew up on a toxic plume so believe me when I tell that I'm surrounded by cancer here. I got mine early cuz I was in my MID 20's and was the first outta my friends. Pretty much about 80% of my friends have had it ONCE of 1 kind. Quite a few have had their cancer TWICE or a different kind show up by the time they hit their late 30's/early 40's. It's kinda in a weird way almost normalized here because it's just been this way ever since like the 40's. IF you want to talk, reach out to me on FB under CHRISSY CRIMES. Trust me I been down this road a long time, I just got a cat scan for lung cancer on March 8th. Thankfully things were clear because I'm not in the mood for Round 6 with any more cancer bullshit. IT IS BULLSHIT AND IT CAN BE BEATEN! Don't think that it can't, ppl who they tell that there's no hope>SOMEHOW THEY ALSO FUCKING BEAT IT! So don't buy into any of that bullshit either ok? Sending you so much love! XOXO 💜 #NYGenXBIKERLady www.nar-anon.org/ www.cancer.org/treatment/caregivers.html

As hilarious/crazy Jim is in this role, he shown how a good actor he also is on those little upsetting moments, like that breakdown he had at the police station.

You need to check out Liar, Liar with Jim, it is an earlier one of Jims work but it is truly top-notch Carrey madness.

The cow may have been related to 50 Cent. Still alive after heaven knows how many times it was shot.

Jim Carrey is by far the best "self fighting" actor I've ever seen in my life. Between this movie and Liar Liar no one compares.

I thought Jim Carrey did superb acting when he cried on the porch of that restaurant confronting how he felt so trapped all those years. When I saw that for the second time, I realized how good an actor Jim Carrey is AND.....if you think about it, you could replace Jim Carrey with an EXPERT actor like Deniro, Pacino, ANY major actor and it would still be a good movie. THe story of a man's decent into insanity and climbing his way out. On the flip side, while these actors would do a great job and make the movie a serious drama, no one could do it as good as Jim. Masterpiece of a movie.

Fun fact, the Song "Break out" by the foo fighters was made for this song, they got all the original actors to be in the music video but Dave Grohl played Charlie.

the ''great grandmother being italian'' reminds me of the line from switched at birth when the mom is questioned why they are all light skinned with light hair and light eyes and the daughter they think is their daughter is olive skinned, with dark eyes and curly black hair and the 'mom' responds with ''well my husband is italian american, we figured she got it from that part of the family'' meanwhile the husband is light skin with light hair and light eyes.
