This is a great game but one thing they should really do to polish it is fix the caution system. if a car crashes or spins out they should start at the back. Ex: Cobb went around but still restarted inside of you. that shouldn't happen

I know Jeff to have better racecraft than I've seen in these NH4 videos, which disappoints me. Strategy is one thing, but he drove like these are bumper cars. Being a bottom-feeder team means you have to drive at your best AND have good strategy, AND take care of the equipment. idk if I saw any of that in this race. Just being honest, because I know he can do better.

@@JReaLBiz86 to be fair, he's been playing bottom tier nascar games the past two years. This is the first game with some semblance of skill and strategy that looks any kind of good, and he's probably expecting pit strategy to not matter like the last games.

@@ceriousgaming6392 TL;DR version: I more so just didn't like his driving. I get that. Just, there are key things you should never forget once you learn them when it comes to racing. The strategy call killed his race, but he wasn't necessarily racing well up to that point either. I feel like this NASCAR Heat is the closest thing we've had to a stock car sim since NASCAR Racing 2003 Season. At least, I want to think that, but if it just drives like an arcade game I won't spend my money on it. I guess I was hoping Jeff's driving would convince me this game would be fun for someone like me. I'm not convinced yet. But I'm not sure if it's the game itself, or the way he's driving it. smh idk man, I'm being nitpicky because I REALLY want to have fun driving a stock car before I commit to iRacing. To me there haven't been any good NASCAR games since the early 2000s, and although there are a lot of arcade-y things about this game, I hoped the driving itself would be on point. Guess I'm still waiting to see. Also sorry so long, I'm tired.

Jeff you keep repairing your damage, if its super bad where its messing with your aerodynamics repair it but if its not that bad don't repair. under yellow you lost spots and when you went in the pit you thought you got a speeding penalty but you didn't, it just took extra time to repair. I know you know what you're doing but just a tip to help you out in the future, still an amazing video though keep up the good work.

You're taking 4 tires where they're taking 2. Your lefts were only at 96% on the second to last stop in Vegas which is why you lost 11 spots. The AI will take 2 tires in that situation

I also think this is what the problem was in NH3. They wouldn't change tires unless they were near 65% so players would take 4, ai would take 2, but the speeds weren't impacted by tire wear as much.

I worked at Vegas as a Firefighter with Fire and Safety! I am pleasantly surprised to see my firetruck in Turn Out 1. As best as I can tell, it looks pretty accurate to our trucks. Furthermore, it is very accurate to what equipment is in which cutout as well!! Very well done developers!

Great game, sliders are key for realistic fun experience. All they need now to close in on stick and ball sports games is to make a TV style ticker leaderboard across the top. Maybe more realistic damage, & paint booth. Also live pit stops under yellow would be a MAJOR improvement.

I'm pretty sure he has damage off, I know he showed the settings at the beginning but I didn't get a chance to see for sure. If you have damage on you will have to at least put for repairs from some of those hits

Start tapping the brake into the corner instead of letting all the way out of the gas. Low hp in those engines means you have to keep the RPMs up to keep the power down.

Anyone notice the bright orbs of light on the hood that appear to be coming from nowhere? It seems like they wanted a little more light reflection that just from the track lights, so they added those large orb reflections. The thing is, once you see it, you can't unsee it.

Pitting has always been a problem, the times just hasnt ever really made sense. Even with a horrible crew the pitting shouldnt take 18 to 20 secs for fueling and that was before they started repairing your damage. Heat need to work on that.

The game looks amazing, but the races are in my opinion too short, but they time make head way, it is the end of the stage. I am also not a fan of the different camera angles, way back when you played for yourself, and I have been with you long enough to see you are trying to please everyone now.

He has it set to 15% Which means less thsn 1/4 of a full race. If you set race length to 100% you get a full race. It was the ssme way in NH3.

He was good into 3 pretty much every lap. Las Vegas has a tight entry into 1, he should have backed up his entry each lap I took note of where he lifted. Just didn't run his race to max potential. Something to learn from hopefully.

You know what eats up right rear tires? Running on the apron when it doesn't give you ANY advantage. Also, changing lanes constantly instead of running a consistent line into the turn. Jumping between lines after you've committed to the corner will kill your outside tires because you have to over-rotate the tires to get back into the turn when you make abrupt lane/line changes like you did several times. That's also why you washed up the track a couple times - you committed low, then tried to go middle and that meant you didn't have enough tire or steering to hold it, not because you bombed it in too far.

Unless you commit to the middle or high groove, you gotta lift a hair earlier, man, you'd be eating those tires alive driving like this. I mean, there were times you were almost a full second too long in the throttle into turn 1. The key to being fast in a stock car is usually acceleration off a corner, not how far you carry the entry. Also you drove with very little regard for the other competitors. I understand they're AI, but you were taking lines away from guys like they didn't have a 4 mph run on you. You essentially drove through Cobb for that wreck, and while you did apologize for it, even after you were reading her driver-door number you didn't lift. And you didn't get dive-bombed, because you overdrove turn 1 you had to slow by more than 20 mph before the center of the corner. Hell, I would've taken that gap in a heartbeat. I know I'm being nitpicky, but I appreciate seeing realistic driving so I can gauge how well a racing game/sim's physics are. I haven't been able to get a gauge on this game watching your first couple career videos. I've seen your iRacing videos, I know you know how to run an oval. Is this game that much different? (I know there's no real comparison, but still) I don't usually leave critique on videos, but again, I know you can drive better than this. I'm really considering getting this game for the PC but I haven't found anyone on YT yet who drives this game as if they were playing a sim, and if this game is THAT much UN-like a sim, I don't want it. Still, I'm looking forward to the next one, hopefully you find your rhythm and start carving these tracks up. Just remember, your front bumper is a horn, not a battering ram ;)
