@@goooaat yes 100%. My receives were not good enough and that was the difference in the end. Even though I struggled to read his serves, I should have been trying to attack the ball a bit more using my backhand flick. In the whole match I only used the banana flick twice I think.

There is just something about the Chinese players having excellent feeling and touch on their receive. Haotian received your serves really well and even your returns to his receives ended up in the net. A very underrated part of table tennis but Chinese players have a great handle on the receiving. Also, you can tell that Haotian really likes slow but spinny shots, which made you mess up a lot. You were also not as aggressive this game and once Haotian started snowballing and steamrolling, it was hard stopping him. Good match and hope to see more.

Idk if you've ever played with Hurricane, and idk if this guy is even using Hurricane, but even when it's boosted up Hurricane is essentially black magic when it comes to serve, receive and opening. It takes laughably little effort with Hurricane to control oncoming spin and kill pace off serves while also being Amir to add crazy spin
