In theory low height would be better in flats circuits, places were the car will not take drastic ground changes, like, drag races, for us racing like spa (many elevations and kerbs) is better to have high suspensions ... But is up to the driver to configure that 😃

That makes a lot of sense, I never thought about it. The corners are quite flat which is challenging in most cars, yet pretty typical for formula 1. There are two sections with multiple back to back corners, also common in formula 1. Thanks for the input!

Yup. For fun, lower the Mercedes SLR McLaren 722. Then go to your garage, go 1 car over and then back. The front wheel will go right THROUGH the front fender as the 722 comes to a stop😂. I believe this is the only car that does that.

Does different rims affect your car's performance

No, all of it is visual. Same with Paint and Vinyls. The game is not programmed to acknowledge them. In real life different paint finishes can impact speed. For instance the #19 car in NASCAR runs a matte finish. On super speedways he goes with a glossy finish and it did increase his speed.

I’ve been having this happen as well. It often happens on my first run, sometimes even my second. By my third retry it is displayed. I also find that my ghost isn’t showing up the first and sometimes second runs. I have a lot of loading problems because I have a lot of Facebook friends. My problem started at about 1500 friends. I’ve talk to other people that found the same thing. So if you have a lot of Facebook friends that might be why.

Certainly a lower car will scrape on the track like crazy, especially when I bash into some of those curbs. However the game just doesn’t acknowledge it. It’s like jumping; you will never see a jump in a replay but during live gameplay I can jump a car very high in certain places. The whole “effect vs affect” thing can drive a guy crazy! I actually brushed up on it ahead of time. There’s the “effect” of ride height, meaning the ability to do it. Then there is the “affect” of ride height meaning it’s impact on performance. Although... since there is no affect it basically is an effect 😅😂🤣😂. Now that I think about it, that might be exactly what you are saying.

In reality it should but in the game it will not. This car is one of the lowest in the game, that’s why I used it. Whether high or low it will react the exact same way when you hit bigger kerbs.

I think that’s just how I was hitting some corners in my second run. You could test it yourself, there are some cars that you can raise really high. Even if it is causing a visual wobble, the developers have said that it doesn’t impact the performance at all. So if anything visual is happening, that’s all it is, just visual.

Affect and effect often get confused. It’s possible I got it wrong but I did refresh myself before titling the video. Sometimes it comes down to how you organize the sentence as far as which word you would use. I honestly thought of avoiding both words just to alleviate confusion. I guess I could have said “ride height impact”. Hmmm... I might change it yet.

I found Abu Dhabi very easy although you’ll have to spend some gold to finish that one. The Italian Grand Prix is also pretty easy and you can do that one with only M$. In either case I’d recommend you have M$ 3.5 million before starting just to be sure you can finish. You have to finish it in five days in order to get a car for free.

I FEEL like my car is faster when it’s dropped low, even though I KNOW it isn’t. Therefore if my car is low I won’t be thinking about it and I will probably drive faster. Less distractions.

You need to look again. I know exactly what you’re talking about, BMW. It doesn’t matter what you do to the ride height, that star is always there. I just tested it myself. Put the right height to 0 and it changes nothing. That star is always there. The lead developer of the original game told me himself. I used to interact with him on a weekly basis when I was first asked to join the old game changer program. Not to mention it’s right in the game manual in the game.

No problem. It has no impact at all. The game programming doesn’t acknowledge ride height, rims, vinyl or paint. In reality all of those things impact your vehicle.

No. All of the coding in regards to handling excludes that. As far as the game is concerned, it’s just like changing paint. I’ve talked to the developers about this, and they say that it has no effect at all.

Yes but it requires more skill. Also, a lot of the highest paying versions are in exclusive series like the Ferrari FXX K and the Koenigsegg Agera RS. The Audi R8 LMS ultra and Porsche 918 RSR concept also pay pretty good but they’re a lot cheaper to fully upgrade.

So I read the comments and the game manual and know it says that the ride height doesn't have any effect on the car's performance and handling, but I'm not so sure that it's got absolutely no effect.. 😑 when you set the car lower and higher like you did in the video I suppose you can put the "difference" down to that you're just imagining it, but instead of just dropping or raising the height for both the back and the front suspension, try raising the back/front and do the opposite with the back suspension, so say front is on max height and back is set to the lowest, so that the car stands with its nose in the air. When you go take a ride now you can clearly feel and see a difference in how the car behaves, it's like the backend feels much looser when the suspension is set higher in the front.. So I don't know, either there's a unintended difference in setting ride height or my imagination is a lot more active than I ever realized.. 👽

Hi there. I get to interact with the developers of this game and I asked them about this directly. It’s impossible for any adjustments on the car to affect its handling. It’s simply isn’t in the coding. I’ll explain it a little bit deeper. We are used to thinking about things from a real world perspective. However you have to switch your mind around to only a gaming perspective. In the real world wind resistance and arrow dynamics are critically important. In the game they mean absolutely nothing. Downforce is purely digital in this game. You get more downforce the faster you go but not because of wind resistance, it’s just because of programming. If they took a Formula 1car and turned it into a giant cube that had 2 feet of ground clearance, it would be just as fast. That’s because the game does not account for the actual dimensions or aerodynamics of any car. In reality that cube would roll over at a slight corner but in the game it would be the exact same as a Formula One car simply because it’s in a digital world. In the real world a matte finish can actually make you slower than a high-gloss finish. However none of that actually matters in this game because it’s not programmed to. So no more test will be done because it’s impossible for any combination of heights or vinyls or rims or any of that to affect cars in this game.

They are having a lot of trouble pinpointing the Brands Hatch problem, since it is only affecting certain Android users. I am on iOS and I have not had any problems with it. I would encourage you to file a ticket with Firemonkeys and tell them which device you’re using. Hopefully if enough people do this they can isolate it. To file a ticket you press the gear icon in the game, then the small “i” for information, then the word “support”

I have not heard anything about that and I get inside information. I don’t think that’s happening. The only official event happening in the next 10 days is the Bugatti championship. You have to buy upgrades to earn a free car. There is nothing for the Centenarion this whole update to my knowledge.

This video is 3 years old, so I don't know what tests you did and what things were then. That track is not good. Go to Indianapolis Speedway, take any car you want, it's so so so clear the ride height affects your car, speed on straight lines and the ability to take curves. So your info is totally wrong at this moment.

I have access to the developers. Not only does it say right in the game manual (in the game) that ride height does not affect car performance, I checked it with the head developer. It literally isn’t in the coding. If the game allowed it, you could jack up your car 3 feet and it would perform exactly the same. Whatever you’re experiencing is placebo. In real life, vinyls, and paint finish actually affect a cars performance. NASCAR found this out on speedways. Martin Truex Jr. would run glossy paint on super speedways because his standard matte paint was slower. None of that matters in this game. What about rims?? That would have a massive effect. Again, it doesn’t matter one bit in this game. You might still stick with whatever you experienced but I know I’m 100% right I’ve checked with the guys who make this game.
