Meade LX200 GPS/AFC/R DEC Clutch Lock upgrade

I have a LX-200GPS 10", and have not had any issues with the Dec lock system, except for the damn plastic gears! I replace those within 1 week of buying my scope!

Good day & thank you for the extremely informative videos. A couple questions if you have a moment. I have an 8" LX200GPS with UHTC that I purchased new in 2002. The scope lightly used & mint. Nonetheless, I'd like to replace the plastic drive gears with the brass high-precision gears. Where do you get the brass replacements? I know where to get Buck's Precision Gears in stainless steel, but which do you think are better, brass or stainless steel? My second question involves the button top stainless steel hex head replacement bolts you use. I'd like to replace all of mine & add the missing ones to the PCBs while I'm in there. Do you offer these as a complete set for purchase? I appreciate your time.

Hello do you still do repairs? I have a LX200 EMC 10" That keeps blowing a fuse even when only the front panel board is connected. Any help will gladly be appreciated. Clear Skies

The malfunction of theMeade LX200GPS declination lock system is the most common problem on this model telescope.
