How many hours can you run this cooker at 250 ish on a bag of charcoal?

So, do you always cook with a low temp? I was amazed to see the temp of the meat with that cook time and the low heat temp. I wonder if it's because of the meat sitting directly over the fire? Either way, I like seeing this cooker in action. Does the pit have a name?

Hey moe, I stop bringing up pit temp years ago. The only thing I do is sterilized my grates with my weed burner. My meat goes in a cold pit.. It's call the meadow creek PR42

Awesome smoking! I am debating on treating myself to a PR42 or vertical box cooker as a retirement gift to add to my arsenal. Do you need a water pan? Do you ever use one?
