Random note: Some people think that Janis singing I’d Rather Be Me doesn’t make sense because it’d make more sense for Gretchen or Cady to sing it since they’ve spent the entire show trying to conform. However, I think it makes sense for Janis. While she doesn’t grow during the show, I think it makes sense for her. From her point of view, people conforming has only hurt her. And it makes sense for the other girls to agree with her because Regina and Cady aren’t positive figures to them. It makes sense for Janis to be a static character because she is so convinced that she’s in the right, even after her revenge plot fell through. (For the record, she was in the right, until she decided to ruin Regina’s life.)
