I like this 3 piece band format. There's the bass to hold the house down. Then somebody else holds the fort while the bass gets to do its business. It's a perpetual motion device. But not without Percussion.

I remember once hosting a pool party and I had rap music playing on the speakers and someone asked me if I had some country to play. Now I don’t listen to country, can’t stand it actually, so I was kind of at a loss. I just said “no” awkwardly. This was years ago and to this day I still feel ashamed to have forgotten mean Mary in that moment. If I had a Time Machine, I’d go back to that moment and say “oh yeah, I know just the thing…”
