I visited the villa of E.G several times in the 1980's (it was then owned by Miss Schelbert) at the same time I also visited her house in Castellar. I was a student in architecture and doing a case study. So I measured the 2 houses including the furniture. Strangely enough Miss Schelbert was always convinced that the house was a secret unknown house of Le Corbu.

Fascinating. Pretty certain it was the work of Eileen Gray. (Not the murals obviously!)

Really great video Tim. We stayed at Chez Betty in August 2020 and what a great guy Thierry is. Really warm character and very professional. Sadly we had to cut our holiday short due to covid and get home before having to quarantine but Thierry only charged us for the nights that we stayed when he could have charged us for the full duration of our booking. It was our first stay in Ville Franche and hopefully we will return some day soon. We loved everything about the area and eating out next to the sea in the evenings. Keep doing what you are doing. Really good entertainment.

Yet again you do not fail to entertain while informing. We have been to Menton many times but didn't know any of the information you shared on you vlog. I also enjoyed your camera work. Just now found out how you pulled the invisable sefie stick!

Nice walk. I think I remember hearing something about the land beside the sea has to have public access. Can’t remember the full details, hence all these coastal trails that cannot be blocked by private properties

It should be simple to cover over the Corb murals in the Grey villa without doing any damage. Ask a painting conservator. You should be able to cover them with an archival, completely reversible polymer coating. Then you can paint over that with the original colors (which were probably not white or gray, but instead a creme color--check whatever archives are available). Then, in the future, if they want to uncover the Corb additions, they can do so.

Interesting John. I guess the story would be lost then though?
