The thing with Izal apparently (I learned this years later) is you were supposed to crumple it up to soften it up before using (and to make it at least slightly absorbent). I had a mate who worked for a local authority and he said the Izal in the staff toilets had the H.M.Government monogram on each sheet. Great episode. Laugh a minute!

Ha ha ha haha....I haven't laughed so much in ages...sorry for my indulgence in schadenfreude, but this was truly the funniest video I've seen in a long time! Can't tell you how many times I have been lost in campsites even coming back from the loo, or realized I had forgotten an important piece of equipment like a can opener or a mallet or even a raincoat (had to walk around in a garbage bag bought at the camp office with holes cut out !), watched folks do strange things in and by the pool (oo la la), or been irritated by the nylon sleeping bags! "Kieff...I think there's a chihuahua in my sleeping bag" LoL! Priceless! Thanks for the hilarity Tim and Mr. Boo! At least your tent was on flat ground when the rains fell...I once drove 6 hrs to a campsite only to have the heaven's open up with torrential rains on my campsite located at the bottom of a hill! Dogs soaked, tent and sleeping bags soaked all in a matter of 45 minutes. Packed up immediately after the rain stopped and drove back home the same day ..with soggy doggy's and a miserable spouse! lol Once in N. Dakota (The Blackhills, USA), I woke up at 3am to spend a penny, and found myself in the middle of a rather large buffalo herd on the way!

Oh gosh, what a cliff hanger. Quite some amazing shots of the lighting! It reminds me of some episodes I had while camping as a child. It takes a lot of careful attention to set up a tent correctly to withstand a storm. I hope the evening wasn't traumatizing. The campground looks like a very lovely place.

I feel for you guys being caught in a summer storm but most people don’t want to camp… what they really mean is glamping! Rent a nice little cabin in the woods as a getaway, with all the amenities while being able to enjoy the solitude of nature. That’s what they want, the convenience and none of the fuss of hoofing it. The ideal way to spend a summer vacation! Hope you enjoyed yours despite the freaky weather. 😊
