Wow finally someone actually explained geometric mean with an example. Thank you for your video! What is the benefit of the geometric mean in reflecting overall growth over just calculating the growth factor from the first value to the last? Is it used for projecting future growth say on a graph?

best explanation and exemplification of geometric mean on youtube.. The harmonic mean contains a confused/inconsistent (not even counter intuitive) use of the concept weight (w.r.t to it's use in arithmetic mean), but terminology of mathematics itself might be to blame not the presenter, for this inconsistency..
