What a joy to spend the day with you two! (I had to watch it in segments interrupted by meals, laundry, dishes, & kids needing various things from me! 😂) It was so great to return to you two throughout the day. You have both been so productive. What wonderful gifts you’ve made! I was so happy to see you were inspired to make the baskets, Deborah! That was such a great idea to add the bottom piece to make them more stable. I hope you two & your families have a blessed Christmas! ❤️~Amy

I loved this episode. You shared soooo many beautiful things you have made for gifts! I loved Deborah's hat pattern so much I immediately bought it. Now I want to go get a skein of Emily's yarn to make it with lol. It will be my Meanwhile at the Castle hat haha! I adored all of your cute animals you shared and the gorgeous doily! I used to make many doilies and loved every one. I still have not had the chance to follow your sock tutorials. I absolutely want to do that. Maybe in 2021. This year I have made simple things like dishcloths. I love dishie yarn from Knit Picks. It is easier on my hands and is a tighter thinner yarn so my hands don't hurt while using it. I also bought Jooles dishcloth pattern awhile ago. I still have to make that one lol. I so enjoy sitting, listening and knitting while watching you two together. You always make me smile. Favorite Christmas song; Little Drummer Boy. I'm knitting on Christmas gifts (dish cloths) while visiting with the both of you. I knit mostly shortie socks, and I only have one pair that has needed elastic and that's a pair made with Felici yarn, it stretches more I find, so I always knit them a tad smaller. I do at least 15 round of rib before doing the heel (I prefer 20 rounds for mine) I knit on a 2.25mm needles. I LOVE the softies, so cute! One of my daughters has texture issues as well. The pineapple doily is gorgeous! I've made several and stretched them in different size embroidery hoops and hung them in a grouping over the head of my bed, like dream catchers. Wishing you both a magical Christmas!

Well, I have moved into a condo in Virginia near my daughter. It happened very quickly because my second heart surgery is scheduled for December 17 and she wanted me in before then. I purchased the condo and moved in a 3 week timespan. I'm so not feeling Christmas this year, it will be just 6 months since I lost my husband and not quite 6 months for my mom. Even my grandkids are having a hard time this year. My youngest just told her mom that her teacher asked who was looking forward to Christmas "and I didn't raise my hand". Is that just the saddest thing? We all feel my husband's loss so strongly. I just hope that I can be there with everyone and that my surgery goes well. I have been so sick for so long, I just want to feel better. That is my Christmas wish.
