I really like your video but what I'm about to ask is not very relevant to the video. My dad grew up on a cattle ranch in west Texas. On the ranch they had a extremely gentle horse named Buck. He was a lighter buckskin. My dad and I can't figure out what breed he was. My dad was 6'1'' in high school. Buck even with his neck and head at about the same level as his withers and with my dad leaning over just a bit, were about the same height. They used him for almost all of the heavy duty things a horse could do and rounding up the cattle. The only thing that would point to him being a draft horse of some kind is his height. I was wondering if you could help me figure out his breed or direct me somewhere that may help. I really appreciate any help you can give me.

A tape measure will not be as accurate as a measuring stick, but you can get close.

You could do that and then convert that into hands, there are some websites that will convert feet into hands.
