Such an honor to show this beautiful old Zeiss universal measuring microscope on the official channel of Zeiss itself! Thanks for the help during the measurement, my dear Jay. And thanks for your patience: I keep on talking when it comes to old measuring equipment. Can't help it - haha!

Thank you for this, Nobby! I have been selling O-Inspect with ZEISS for the last 10 years... I wish this unit was part of the training. This is 50+ years before these style 2D optical bench tops really took hold in the 70's. This is simply an amazing piece of equipment. Is there a model number for this? Any documentation?

It was a real pleasure, @shwa1584! Don't believe there were model numbers in that era. No need for, since there was no ERP software yet. 🤪 It was just called the Universal Mess Mikroskop (UMM). I've got some documentation. The original manual (which is in the video) was printed on very thin paper. The machine really was something else. Like a Prismo Ultra today. I also have a brochure from the early fifties, containing a ton of accessories! Like a rotary table (C-axis) and a forth axis. (A-axis).
