Because the Hall of Fame is for pretentious douchebags that want their name immortalized that's why you have to sell your soul to the devil to become famous

cobain was 26 when he made that perf version, and the meat puppets were backing him up! theses guys here are in their 50s, and still pretty solid!

Thanks to Nirvana I met the Meat Puppets, they haven't had a tremendous success, some say it's unfortunate, but what if they wanted it that way? After all, that was what Kurt Cobain wanted. Meat Puppets are a great band, that you have to know how to value.

What the original from 1984?
@etamommy2 ай бұрын
@@AD-BC-84 originally - it is off of meat puppets ll album. That came out in on SST record label in 1984 although I read somewhere that the song was written and recorded first on Halloween 1982 by Curt kirkwood.😅

I can definitely see a Neil Young type of soloing, but I kind of think curt isn't as idiosyncratic of a player. Possibly a more technical player, as opposed to Neil who seems to draw from disorganized melodies. But overall, theyre both creative guitarists for sure!

Where do bad folks go when they die? They don't go to Heaven where the angels fly They go to the Lake of fire and fry See 'em again 'til the fourth of July! I knew a lady who came from Duluth Bit by a dog with a rabid tooth She went to her grave just a little too soon Flew away howling on the yellow moon Where do bad folks go when they die? They don't go to Heaven where the angels fly They go down to the lake of fire and fry See 'em again 'til the fourth of July People cry and people moan Look for a dry place to call their home Try to find someplace to rest their bones While the angels and the devils try to make them their own Where do bad folks go when they die? They don't go to Heaven where the angels fly They go down to the lake of fire and fry See 'em again 'til the fourth of July

The Meat Puppets were a MUCH more important and lasting band than Nirvana, some people don’t get it and that’s okay but these guys changed my life. I saw them open for John Cale in Miami and left a changed man. You can do so much more with guitar, bass and drums than most people realize and they don’t get it when it happens.

The Meat Puppets. They will always be rememered as the band that played in Nirvana's unplugged, unfair but still huge. Young people maybe can not understand those days when everyday was the last day on Earth. Nirvana got out of course and they (Cobain) declared war on pop culture (where they were kings) like an autoimmune disease. Dead the dog, the rabies is gone. A shame. It seemed that popular culture began to do its genuine self-criticism, trend that landed before takeoff. Now Rock is a caricature, and to be optimistic, that's a good start for a brand new cycle
