Oh my goodness... I could cry. I'm so happy. I was JUST thinking the other day how badly I wanted to see a more in-depth video of your rabbit setup.❤😭🥰😊💜 Thank you Sarah!!!

I LOVE learning all the natural rabbity ways such as the way you build hutches and feed them. Thank you for continuing to share ❤

Tried to start rabbits this year but with all the up keep around the property I just didn't have the time. Still have to drop slice and haul wood up to the splitter and get that done this fall.. Leaves are falling so the sap will be heading for the roots and the wood will be marginally drier. At 64 years, doing all of this manually is starting to wear on the body. But, keeps me out of trouble. Nice to sit back with a cup of coffee and watch/listen to your nice calm videos..

Love your channel so much. Much more informative than I'm used to seeing. I know, when I click, I learn something useful and not just see another self aggrandizing show.

Yep another video to tell newbies to watch and take notes to. Good stuff here, the bear bords are new to me. Not sure if I could get away with that here but we only have black bears. Thanks for the video.
@CedarHillsHomestead2 ай бұрын
Thank you! Yeah the bear boards are a grey area- it’s fine to use it to deter animals but if someone got hurt while trespassing that could cause trouble. But if I’ve got a stranger walking through our place at night I’ve probably got bigger problems than them trying to sue us. 😬😬

Not a legal expert, but if someone comes to harm you, or your livestock or property, you have the right to defend yourself. This is self defense and it's their own fault if they get hurt.

Another informative video, thank you! More details on the hutch would be great. How is the bottom and dividers made? How thick should the walls be? How tall is it?
@CedarHillsHomestead2 ай бұрын
I’ll make another video for you soon! Walls are 1-2 inches thick. I use wood, and I know that rabbits can chew through wood. I’m fine with having to replace it as needed, some people don’t like that. I like the bottom of my hutches to be about belt-buckle height on me. The buck’s big hutch is taller than that, but it ends up being belt-buckle height by the end of winter. Even shoveling snow daily there is still a slow buildup of snow on my footpath. I’ll show the divider and bottoms better in the video later on. 😁

Do you have a video about the pedigree and record keeping you do? I think that would be very interesting if you do/did make it

Don't the chickens then sh*t on the rabbits?

That’s what the metal shelf under the roost is for, it keeps the rabbits clean 😁
