Where to start? There are so many hints and tips in your videos that i suspect you don’t even know you’re sharing. Little things even for an old hack that are useful. I was watching your intro and thought thank heavens he hasn’t resorted to the mandatory KZbin drone shot. Then to my delight you coin the true definitive article for the noun drone - brilliant! Posterity thanks you brother. A brilliant start to the new year, keep em coming!

Thank you Steve! I wont say that I never will use drone shots, but it's very low on my priority list so I wouldn't hold my breath. Good to hear that some of my ranting can be useful, instead of being Captain Obvious. Take care my friend!

The new saute pan is really nice! I can't decide to get the non stick version now, or to wait for them to produce a hard anodized version. I bet they will make a version for the 27 at some point, too. Dinner looked great!

Happy new year Ken! I haven't tried proper Mac'n'cheese actually. We have a variety in Sweden but it's no cheese, just the bechamel. I guess that's something I have to try cooking up. Cheers!

Good to see you posting. I bought some lingonberries to try here in the states so the video was right on time. On reflecting, we in the US don't seem to have a national dish as there are too many regional favorites but I think the Hamburger with fries is closest to being one. I don't know which is worse, drones or mosquitos, both will drive you nuts but at least the mosquitos stop being a problem in the winter. May you and your family be blessed in the new year.

Happy new year James! Burgers aren't a bad choice, it's a favourite of mine. I know some folks frown at them but nobody that had a really good burger can claim it's bad food. I think the problem with drones are more the muppet behind the stick most of the time, some consideration and common desency goes a long way. Mossies are "just trying to feed their kids", but can drive you insane. Cheers!

Redddddd!!! How you doing, my friend?! And Happy New Year! Only resolution i made for the year is to beat this damn cancer again and get my health better! Doctors are really on it, so should be an easy journey. And oooooo you said a bad word!! 😂 Was good to hear you not hold back. I have a drone, but it's for when we go to places like the Grand Canyon, up in the Rockies, and even used it in the Smokies, just to record scenuc views that we normally can't get. Was great to see you make it out. I havent done anything in a few weeks since I did my fish pasta video, but I vowed to my daughter to make it out once we have a nice day here again. Sure wish it was easier for me to get lingonberries and jam here, but i generally have my version using cranberries and raspberries made up, or at least have the berries in the freezer in case I need yo make more. Meatballs sound really tempting right now 😂 Anyways, hope to see you again soon!

Happy New Year. From Norway but half Swede as my surname suggests. Allways carry the burner inside your coat when negative Celsius. Speeds up the burner if you don't have a "Winter attatchement"
@RedswedeOutdoors
@RedswedeOutdoors 15 күн бұрын
Happy new year Arild! That's true, if you have a pocket big enough to keep the burner close to your body I don't see a need for the winter attachment. A few drops of fuel on the ring also kicks the heat up faster. The result of subzero degrees on burner and fuel is obvious here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oWakoWyGeLGGjK8 Cheers!

Try cellophane plastic wrap for making your meatballs. I have seen it used for that and it keeps your hands clean. Just take a piece of plastic wrap and cover your palm. Then place your meat in the wrap and fold the wrap over the meat and form the meatball. Easy.

The only difference between Sweish kjøttbullar and Norwegian Kjøttkaker is the size. The Norwegian kjøttkake is about the size of kjøttbullar, multiplied by 2,5 pr 3. Since they are bigger, they can't be cooked through. Therefore we boil them in the broth concisting of the butter from the pan and some water, for 10 minutes.

Happy new year! Simple dishes often are the best. They are easy to make, comforting and tasty. Those meatballs check every box. Around here sauerkraut and bratwurst with a side of sourdough bread are fairly popular. In Germany curry sausage with French fries might be called a national dish. I am not particularly fond of it.
@RedswedeOutdoors
@RedswedeOutdoors 16 күн бұрын
Happy new year Max! Sauerkraut and Bratwurst is a clear winner. The Currywurst I've heard of but never seen in our stores, but if I hear you right it's no greater loss. Cheers!
@maxlutz3674
@maxlutz3674 16 күн бұрын
@@RedswedeOutdoors Store bought "heat and eat" Currywurst is indeed no greater loss. The sausage tends to be grease and lack flavour. The tomato sauce isn´t spicey enough and has too much sugar. If you want to try it, take a Thüringer Bratwurst and make a good thick and spicey tomato sauce with paprika, cayenne pepper and chilli powder of your choice . I also saute onions and garlic for the sauce. I like to have that sauce with pasta.

Great video 👍 My grandma made Norwegian meatballs, and I have to say that they tasted better than every Swedish meatballs I have tasted. I really liked your new year’s resolution. Don’t apologise for not making videos. As you says, life happens, that’s nothing to feel ashamed of 😊 The gloves looked great. In my opinion gloves is important when processing firewood and making fire. It’s a part of the safety equipment. For some reasons people often do things on their free time that newer should be allowed at work. Mow the lawn in flipflops, work with axes saws etc without gloves. I can’t see how it can be okay to go to a gym and lift weights only wearing socks on your feet etc. Would it be allowed at work to lift heavy objects without protective shoes 🤔 Of course I cheat using gloves and protective shoes from time to time as every body else, but it’s important to remember that our home really are dangerous places. As a healthcare worker you have probably seen a lot of injuries that have happened people at home or on their free time that never should have happened if they used the same safety equipment that they use at work 🤔

Thanks and a happy new year Jonas! As you say many don't use their most important safety equipment enough, their brain. Keeping ones head cool and working safe prevents most injuries. Most of my injuries occured when I was thinking of something else or not at all. In the ER I noticed that many injuries starts with the words, "Don't you think I can/dare?" or "Hold my beer". Cheers!

And the majority of them was middle aged women 😂 The first one I had to bandage on Vätternrundan last summer was a twenty plus years old young man that tried to go a rond against a window. Happy new year Kjell! Yes, I ate them all but truth be told it was both lunch and breakfast and had to take the leftovers later when I went home, so it was kinda two sittings. About the sauce I left it out this time. Both since it isn't strictly nescesarry and since the fact that everything else gets cold while making the sauce, but you're right that it adds to the dish.
