Great beauty from the photographer also.

There's nothing like harvesting from the land and sea and cooking it right up, best feeling and fresh as you can get! You know every step that fish and game has been through start to finish, nothing more satisfying! I miss being able to do that terribly, moved from the northwest to TN, it's just not the same, not as accessible, especially the hunting, if you own property the whitetail hunting can be pretty good, but if you don't it's really hard to get access. I think I was just spoiled growing up in northern Idaho and all that vast public land and wilderness. Miss it every day. Great episode, love these!

I'm so damn glad y'all are back on KZbin with your primary productions. I totally get the efforts to go standalone, but in actual practice, it just really didn't work out well. Thanks for trying for a while and then realizing it wasn't working and then correcting. Most companies won't do that correction, they'll just double down. Good on y'all for both actions.

This whole tone, visually and audibly, was a very different side of Steve. I usually see him as the jovial, almost jock, of the group. Boisterous, laughing hard and taking charge. Prominent. But at the end, when he's just sitting on the deck with his buddies, he seemed...older. Tired, almost. Like he's finally caught on camera truly resting. No persona for a camera. No showboating. No pretense. I like that Steve. It's more genuine than I think I've ever seen him and it wasn't until I saw him with Clay just now that I realize there's been more genuine Steve Rinella on camera than ever before. Part of that might be the contrast with Clay though. I mean, he's basically a tall moustached kid in the best way and everyone seems older and wiser when a goof like Clay comes to brighten everyone's day. This was a special episode. It's just feels different and homely and comfortable. It's the kind of vibe I almost feel nostalgia about for a part of my life I haven't even had yet, but aspire to as a goal.
