Ya, the key here is that you have to always have a device theta in Bluetooth range. Not what I expect when I hear wifi capable.... Because it's not, the tablet is. Oh well. Lesson learned. Shoulda figured it out while it was still in the return window.

So basically you need two devices to have it connected truly to the cloud. Seems silly and not sure why it can’t all go through the cloud with one device. Just have to remember to have the meater running on both my IPad and IPhone device. Oh well

Because the base station (unless you have the block) doesn’t have WiFi. You need some device to receive the Bluetooth and transmit to the cloud.

Meater, I need you to implement the ability to set an alarm for the Ambient in your app. I need to know when my smoker gets too hot or too cold so I can adjust the fire. Say when smoking brisket, a low alarm of 200 and a high alarm of 300 would make life soooo much easier. Why is this not a feature????

link died in middle of cook. Tried to create a new link and it says unable to connect to internet. Using browser to make this comment so internet does work. Where is there a cloud server status?

My meter plus lost Bluetooth connectivity with the phone and the four hours of cookout information was lost. I had to set target temperature etc. again. Is there anyway in the app to resume with the same cookout settings/collected data?

Hey there! The data in the app should resume once your MEATER reconnects. If you restart the set-up cook, the MEATER probe will need to calculate the data again. The MEATER Original/Plus ranges up to 33/165ft in open air however some appliances with thicker walls may decrease the range when you close the lid/door. Please be sure to keep the charging base next to the probe(s) in use. If you use tin foil for your cook, we also recommend that you poke a hole for the probe to peak through! If you're still experiencing connection issues and would like help, please reach out to customer support at meater.com/support and they can help get things working correctly! :)

i would not even buy meater probe customer service is the worst i have opened 2 tickets to address the issue first one over a month ago second was little over a week no reply other than the auto reply my probe will not charge after 4 cooks ( worked great for the 4 cooks) yes i did all the troubleshooting steps

With 4 probes I’d like to be able to monitor multiple cooks. Can I monitor a steak on the grill on the deck and a pork shoulder on the smoker on the patio and a lamb leg in the oven all at the same time?

Hello WayMor, the MEATER app supports multiple cooks so you'd be able monitor them all in the app. You'll just need to make sure your device(s) are within Bluetooth range to stay connected to the probe(s). Happy cooking!

Hello Brandon, you can monitor the cook on your phone over Bluetooth up to 165 ft of range with MEATER Plus, but you'll need another phone (or tablet) to get your WiFi network's range. Do both the tablet and phone need to be one operating system, IE: Android or IOS? Added the Meater 2 plus to a IOS tablet and it prompted me to upgrade the probes. I did not get the upgrade notice when adding to an android phone. I do not get a Meater Link option on the android phone in settings.

Since you updated the probes on your iPad, you shouldn't need to on your Android. MEATER Link is native to the Android app and it doesn't need to be enabled.

You mentioned you can use this on the Apple watch, what about the Samsung Galaxy & Galaxy pro watch? Apple and Samsung are two premier watches on the market. Why would you make it for apple and not Samsung? You're losing a huge percentage of the market if it's not available for Samsung.
