Considering it's episode 50, actually double-checked my comment history with this series. When the series started, had no idea about this game, and was asking very basic questions. Then, around June, I got the game and spent all my free time playing it for like 2-3 weeks. Started giving advice, as I'd managed to get up to around ~1k MMR and had picked up a bunch of tips and tricks. Between all the other commenters and myself, we got Indrid to commit less basic mistakes and he got on his winning grind. Now here we are, with Indrid about the same rank as I am, and I'm watching him do the 50/50 win/loss same as me, and I'm just vibin' and watching the silly robots explode. In a weird way, this is kinda like a bell curve meme.

Soo thanks to your videos I finally picked up Mechabellum and convinced at least three other people (for now) to buy it. It's a cool game!

Seeing wraiths picked every game without ever getting degem beam was killing me, it’s by far their most useful tech, especially compared to range. Make them tanky with armor and/or field maintenance and give them degen beam so they can sit above the battle while your army wipes out everything as the enemy deals less damage and takes more. Wraiths are essentially the support unit farseers were meant to be

Honestly, it's powerful, but best used in a headbutt situation. Wraiths are some of the best chaff clear in the game, and need range to survive. If someone's gonna use them in a standard setup like he plays, I think range is the way to go nearly always. They're not really support in that context.

50:00 Man I thought the overlords were such a bad decision. Just goes to show that Indrid is smarter player than I am! Still... I was so sad for those poor flanking crawlers. 😛

Glancing at that board, the overlords were fine there because the opponent had no real ability to deal with crawlers except for the typhoons, which would just get ground cannoned. There are a lot of nominal boat counters there, but none that are actually gonna hit the boats.

I finally got the game and gosh its super entertaining. Just wished it had a bigger player base.
