Well..it supposed to be the finale of the Alpha series..so you have the Super units from 1, Gaiden and 2 as well added to Alpha 3's Supers...and that's what made the Alpha series so glorious...it's grander in scale than in Z, even though Z's story spans the multiverse...Z seems...smaller than Alpha.

Man Genesic in Alpha 3 was rushed in thanks to word of god... Gaogigar was supposed to come in Alpha 1 have the first part of the show explained then making sense would of been the second half covered in Alpha 2 which then would of lead to a whole game of just Genesic. If only.
