"Mechanical Ballet" is loosely inspired by the revolutionary percussion work "Ballet Mecanique" by Geroges Anthiel. Clocks in Motion Percussion tours regularly with this composition, highlighting its intricate counterpoint, quirky melodic ideas, and dance-like characters.

Anders Koppel composed this mallet quartet scored for 2 marimbas, vibraphone, and xylophone in 2014 for a consortium of percussion ensembles and universities.
