Mechanical engineers use the discoveries of science to develop the technology we use every day. We all use electricity, heat our homes, drink clean water, ride in vehicles and use machines that make our lives easier. At UVic, we are working on things like wave and wind energy, transportation, aerospace, robotics and optics.
