I'm going to guess viewers might be confused regarding the impact driver mechanism, so here is my explanation: When a certain load is applied to the impact driver mechanism, the top part (hammer) no longer tries to turn the anvil (bottom gray beam), and instead skips up (This load threshold depends on the stiffness of the spring). As it skips up, the hammer gains speed and momentum, and after rotating for a bit the hammer falls back down and strikes the anvil. The hammer releases all its momentum into the anvil in a short period of time, creating a more powerful jolt. You can see this in the real time clips of the mechanism, the red dial on the tire budges a little bit after each hit, and slowly rotates. As always, you can turn on subtitles for more explanations about the mechanisms. 0:00 Right Angle Coupling 0:38 Impact Driver 1:26 Pick and Place 2:00 Double Scotch Yoke 2:32 Rotation Transmission Linkage 3:07 End Screen

The impact driver was amazing. I also didn't previously understand how it works but I understand now
