To prevent a motorcycle engine from overheating, you will need to keep up with basic maintenance of the motorcycle such as regular oil changes and having proper coolant levels (for water cooled motorcycles). Ek bahut hi important cheez baaki reh gayi, jo 99% log bhool jaate hai. Oil Sump! Oil sump hamesha saaf hona chahiye. Waise toh upar se saaf hota hai lekin niche se ganda hone ke wajah se oil sump me pehle jaisi cooling nahi ho paati aur oil sump ka temperature increase ho jata hai, jisse oil pressure pehle se thoda kum ho jata hai, isi se starting ke 20-30 min hi bike sahi chalti hai, uske baad mazaa nahi aata. Ek baar oil sump ka bottom part bhi clean karwa lena chahiye, phir definetely difference feel hoga.

Recently I serviced my Pulsar 200CC 2007 model, I am facing issue of Engine Heat. I changed oil and my mechanic fill Total 10/40 oil in engine. But when I was ride 3-5km then engine heat and not cool more than 5-7 hours. Also I ask mechanic but he said you ride 5km or 100km it's heating but not issue for engine. Can you give me the solution. Bhai never ever use oil from mechanic while doing oil change coz discover needs 1 liter oil of 20W50 grade. But the mechanics have 900ml bottle (local plane base oil) of 20w40 . I realised this late and my discover 125 used to heat a lot always and was eating oil n packing and Got Seized once . There I got 20w50 1 liter this time n i can feel the difference very much. Runs like new now
