Due to hyperactivation in One X-chromosome of male Drosophila the production of this chromosome is doubled. Hence the proteins from X-chromosome that activates the early promoter of sxl gene will be produced in double amount and will reach the threshold level ultimately. As a result the early promoter will produce the functional sxl in male Drosophila which ultimately will inhibit the msl gene that is responsible for the hyperactivation in male Drosophila. Does it happen so? or there are any other mechanism for that? If the early promoter will be still active in later stages of development of Drosophila?
