Great video Toshiro! Thanks for the knowledge. Looking forward to your next Quartz video. Do you know if there are watchmakers in Japan that can still adjust caliber 99? I have a few caliber 99, and even tried adjusting the trimmer, but it doesn't work. There are not many watchmakers that know how to adjust annual difference quartz anymore. Also I wonder if Grand Seiko modern caliber 9F is different from Twin Quartz series?

@EK, Hi, EK. Thanks for your comment. I will do my best to make the next video interesting😁 As far as I've seen and heard, I don't think there were watch makers and stores in Japan that adjusts the 99 series with trimmers. Even at that time, the 99 series accepted only battery replacement at SEIKO. About other calibers, SEIKO have made their adjustments and mechanisms widely available to watch stores in town. But, the 99 series is exceptions. I remember that the engineers who retired from SEIKO opened a shop to repair anything if it was SEIKO. Unfortunately I don't remember the name of the store. If I see the information somewhere, I'll contact them👍 The annual quartz after Twin Quartz uses a crystal unit that is less affected by temperature. This was named TM (Twin Mode) oscillator. 99 Twin Quartz was very costly because it was difficult to adjust and to manufacture two types of oscillators with different characteristics. Therefore, the method with one oscillator has become mainstream. I'm not familiar with the process leading up to 9F, so I'll study so that I can explain it❗️
