@@arjitagrawal4240 JASO MA2 lubricant (eg. motul 5100) for bikes with wet clutch, which needs extra acceleration since anti-slip clutch additive added. JASO MA2 is not fit on scooter since the engine hidden induce higher engine temperature excalete higher friction thus it needs friction modifier additive added lubricant. If it's hard to find JASO MB lubricant, you may use 10w40 engine oil, API SJ or higher. it would good enough for the Suzuki Address scooter.

New to scooters and thinking about buying this model in Thailand. A few questions - 1) Does the bike require valve adjustment as well? If so, is it locknut or shim. I'm assuming locknut. 2) What's the secondary short lever for on the left (I assume the left lever is rear brake like a bicycle)? Awesome video. Will come in handy should I choose this or a similar model. Also looking at the Fazzio. Thanks again!
@MechitBetter Жыл бұрын
Hi. This bike will need the valve clearances checking occasionally. If they need adjusting, they are of a locknut type. It’s very easy to adjust them, but they rarely need adjustment anyway. The left lever is for the rear brake. There short lever in front of that is to allow you to lock the rear brake on if you need to. Perhaps if you’re facing downhill etc. it acts like the hand-brake in a car. I hope that helps. These Suzuki scooters are excellent 👍

Hi, sorry for the late reply. The official schedule says you should inspect the valves every 4000km and replace the spark plug every 8000km. Hi thank you for the videos they’ve helped me out on my address on many occasions. installed a new battery about a month ago but today my address won’t start on the button ? Just wondered if there was anything I could check ?
@MechitBetter2 жыл бұрын
If you have a multimeter you can check the voltage before you start it. It should be around 12.7v if it’s fully charged. Anything near 12.2v is low. Then if possible, see what the voltage dips to as you try to start the bike. If it drops drastically then the battery could be damaged. It has been cold though, and the battery is only tiny on the Address. Cold weather will make it harder to start so the battery needs to be well charged. Of course, it could be a different problem entirely. What symptoms are you getting?

Good guide, though you should have mentioned that there is a small 0-ring that sits between the oil filter and the engine that can come out attached to the oil filter, it's important to check this has not happened and if so then put the O-ring back in place on the engine, using a clean screwdriver passed through the O-ring as a guide.

They can be bought for little money and will keep the battery healthy over winter. Removing the leads might help but isn’t the best solution. If you can’t leave the battery on charge then remove it from the bike completely and leave it indoors in the warmth. I’d also recommend using some fuel stabiliser to prevent the fuel going off, especially if you’re using fuel with a 10% ethanol content. The ethanol will cause problems if left for that long. Hope that helps 👍

@@MechitBetter Thanks for your answer, the bike will be a holiday bike will be standing in an underground garage in spain, will not have access to power, I think it never gets really cold there. Great tip about adding something to the petrol, didn't know something like that existed 😀 I will look up what that is and where to find it, have a nice weekend.

A holiday bike in Spain sounds like great fun. If it doesn’t get cold then just disconnect the leads as you suggested. I’d still expect it to need charging once you get back to the bike though. Enjoy 👍

Great Video, A quick question, which one is the most reliable step throughout bike from 100cc to 125cc which shouldn't give a problem & easy quick for repair as well? Thanks Honda Vision 110 Honda SH 125 Honda PCX 125 YAMAHA X Max 125 Suzuki Address 110 Lexomoto 125 Piaggio 125

Cheers! I don’t have personal experience of all of those bikes, but the Address 110 has been excellent. I also hear good things about all of the Honda bikes too. The PCX and X Max might be harder to work on, as would any other bike with fancy panels. The Address is a very simple and rugged bike. Everything is quite easy to access and work on 👍

Great Vlog, much better than any other that i have given up watching because they just blabber on for hour's. Iv'e just bought a Lexmoto 50cc moped and the last time i had a 50cc was over 30 years ago when there were only two stroke's which needed a petrol and oil mixture which you had to add to your fuel tank. Can you please tell me, as all bike's are now 4 stroke's does the engine oil lubricate the piston & top end or is there another place on the bike that need's to be topped up with oil? Thanks in advance and ATB.
@MechitBetter5 жыл бұрын
Thanks! If you’ve subscribed then you might change your mind about us blabbering on haha! Anyway... yes you are correct. Any four stroke is lubricated by the engine oil that’s separate from the petrol. In the same way as a car. There’ll be a dipstick or sight glass to check the level and it’ll need servicing at regular intervals. But no need to pre-mix fuel and oil. The fuel and oil should never even meet each other. If you watched this video, there’s a section where I check the dipstick on my bike. Yours is probably similar if it’s definitely a four stroke. Which bike did you get? If you’ve got any questions, feel free to give us a shout; and happy riding!

@@MechitBetter Nooooooo I didn't say that you were blabbering on 😂 I said that i just got a Lexmoto 50cc moped, it's the Echo 2019. I think that i did subscribe, if i didn't then i will 😊 So the engine oil ( where the dipstick is ) that lubricates the top end? Thanks for taking time out & all the best 👍👍

Ha, I was suggesting that we do blather on a bit sometimes 😎 But yes, the engine oil lubricates the top end on a four stroke. Nothing else required 👍

@@MechitBetter Lol, i don't think you blabber on at all, you should see some bike vlogs they take age's to get to the point 😂 Thanks for the good advice.

Hiya Richard. I couldn’t say for certain where you’d get one other than the main dealer. I’ve had a few bits direct from Suzuki and they’ve always been sensibly priced 👍

Amazing tutorial, thankyou for making step by step video. I just want to ask some questions. 1. When i am pressing right brake, a sound is coming from tyre side i guess (sound like metal clanging, not sure how to tell it :p ) , so do i need to worry about this ? 2. Which tools do i need to buy in order to open nuts and change engine oil/filter ? (I do not want to buy unnecessary tools). 3. How to replace front light bulb ? (present one no more working). And which size/name bulbs i need to buy ? Thankyou.
@MechitBetter5 жыл бұрын
Hi Arjit. Thanks for your questions. Yes I would be concerned about the noise from your brakes. They should be silent. Can you upload/send a video of the noise? My apologies but I can’t remember exactly which size tools I used, but I think I mentioned the sizes in this video. In any case, a simple socket set will cover everything you need and be really useful for other maintenance jobs. The front light bulb is hidden behind the front panel. I have a video here which shows you how to remove that. The main headlight is a 12v 35/35w (HS1) bulb, which is held in I think with a wire clip. Once you’ve removed the front panel, you should be able to see how it’s removed. I hope that helps. If you have any more questions, give me a shout 👍

@@MechitBetter Hello, thankyou for answers, i don't know how to record noise i am facing because it only happen when the bike is running. "Socket set", thankyou i will buy it. The front light top bulb is ok, i was asking about 2 small light bulb at front down (installed with indicator bulbs). Regards
@MechitBetter5 жыл бұрын
If you are experiencing strange brake noises when riding, my advice would be to take the bike to a professional mechanic and let them look at the problem. Being able to brake is the most important thing! The bulb you need is a 12v/5w sidelight bulb. The holder is just pushed in to the light unit. Remove the front panel and pull out the holder, then pull out the bulb from the holder to replace 👍

Im about to change my gear oil, and I just watched your video to see what type of oil you use. So I just use my engine oil? - 10w40 silkolene pro4 fully synthetic? Thought I should use the can of 80w90 hypoid gearoil that I have on the shelf from previous ownerships of honda motorcycles with shaftdrive.. But no? Just engine oil?

For only having a 110cc engine this little scooter is a flying machine. Iv had mine hitting 70 downhill, not that I ride it like that as norm but its a great scooter and can hit 50 pretty quickly. You have no quams about joining carriage ways or fast roads worrying about getting up to speed cause its just not an issue. Great video. 👌

@MechitBetter4 жыл бұрын
Hey, thanks! There isn’t a manual that’s publicly available. The Suzuki dealers have one for their own mechanics, but I’ve not managed to get them to share it yet! They have usually been willing to do me a little print out from it if there’s a specific job I need to do. It might be worth asking your local dealer. You might have more luck than I’ve had. If you do, send me a copy! 👍

Drain the gear oil on the side stand, not the center stand. When filling the gear oil put the bike back on the center stand. If the gear oil starts to leak out of the filller hole you have the correct amount of gear oil in the housing.

Cheers Kyle. I’m not sure if the filters are meant to be cleaned, so can’t help there. The oil in the casing could be blow by. Have you done a compression test?

@@MechitBetter no I haven't. I don't know anything about engines except for the very basics. I shall look into that and see how to do one. I have ordered a new air filter in the meantime as it was really wet from the oil. Kind of useless having a wet filter as it will block faster from all the dirt.

@@MechitBetter- I'm in the process of deciding what bike to buy. I'm looking at BMW 310 GS vs a much more affordable scooter (either Suzuki Address 110 or Honda Elite 125). Your video definitely makes it possible to self-service this scooter even for those of us that are not very experienced in servicing our own bikes.
@MechitBetter5 жыл бұрын
The scooters are certainly easy enough to ride and work on but the GS or something similar makes longer distance easier. Tough decision! How about the Kawasaki Versys 300? That looks like a nice bike. Or even a bigger scooter? The Kawasaki J300 looks good. Best of both worlds 👍

Hi Phillip. Which O rings are you referring to? In any case, so long as they’re the correct size and made for automotive applications (heat, petrol and oil resistant etc), then you should be alright to use non-original stuff 👍
