Mechwarrior Online - Enforcer Gameplay

The latest addition to the Medium roster arrives this time in the form of the Enforcer. A popular 'Mech used by Davion primarily to support lances with its large laser and AC/10 combination. Jump capable its a versatile BattleMech that shouldn't be underestimated.
In game this unit is capable of some pretty nasty builds focusing on energy and ballistics fire. I would definitely go with an XL engine simply to get more manoeuvrability out of the chassis. Still its a great addition to the line and here's looking forward to the Grasshopper and Zeus.

The head is a little derpy ingame. The cockpit does make it a tad hard to spot UAVs. I am prettty happy with it as a general medium and I've had alot better luck with this than the vindicator. Jump jets help alot on the urban maps. Keep up the good videos!

I don't know, I think the ability to spread the damage so well is the mech's special ability; I mean being at 50% and having lost 1 arm and not being red at any area without twitching the torso much is fairly impressive, - although I assume people haven't figured out where to focus fire the enforcer for now, so they just shoot at the genuine direction of the mech.

@TheKna5041 Thanks :) The AC/10 is where its at with the Enforcer. The UAV situation is a good point, the low point of the cockpit does cause it to obscure some obstacles when looking up.

On the 5P I switched out the UAC's because I always have the unluckiest jam chances. Its currently rocking 2 AC-10's with 4 tons of ammo. Kind of interesting, most people don't expect 20 dmg every 1 3/4 second or so!

My table top Enforcer swaps out the A/C 10 for a Large laser, adds 7 heat sinks (19 total) all in LT/RT and adds 1 ton of armour +5 (r)CT, +4 (r)LT/RT and +1 to each arm, it seams to work well currently running a Heavy lance of 2 Thunderbolt 5SE, and Grasshopper 5H and the Enforcer 4R custom

I run a 4R enforcer with an lbx-Ac10 and 4 medium lasers I find its really good at brawling when you have backup or to finish off damaged mechs

Wait... Enforcer is 50 ton?? What the fuck... From the size of it (when compared to my 50 ton Centurion) i thought he was a 45 tonner like the fucking blackjack..

Stormeris Yeah scale was something FASA never really took seriously and so many 'Mechs are guess work at best as far as height goes. There are no official size scales for the 'Mechs and only a few are ever referenced for height. The other issue is that some 'Mechs are older designs and thus they are bigger due to technology available at the time while newer designs may be smaller even when they weigh more. The Centurion is older than the Enforcer and as such uses older blueprints, while the Enforcer was constructed using blueprints discovered in a Star League era facility which Davion went and built.

Critical Rocket I'm talking about the ingame models, not the old blueprints. The scale is out of wack. Just look at the catapult being larger than the Stalker, even thought the stalker is 20 tons heavier

Stormeris That's what I'm saying there is no official scale so the size of different 'Mech's is up to the developer really. The only thing that is semi-official is the miniatures released by Ral Partha and the Catapult mini is larger than the Stalker. Take a look at the Javelin mini compared to the Atlas for instance, its nearly as tall as the 100 tonner, but that is unfortunately how the scale worked out really. I agree some of the size to weight ratios are a bit off at times :)

Critical Rocket That is something I found with mini's, the scales is always off compared to FASA scale in their pictures. The Javlin as you mentioned in most FASA pics is only as tall as the Atlas's hip.

Ishla Corrin Yeah in gaming terms its a nightmare to have to scale all of your models exactly so just give them a relative size for ease of use, however FASA should have given some accurate scale at some point since its a rather important issue for the tabletop roleplaying game when your GM needs to know if your 'Mech will fit between buildings etc.

"Discovered" the Enforcer this weekend after sitting in hanger for ages while trying to make the Grasshopper and Zeus work, and I have to say I v. much like this guy! It does what a Centurion do, only with jumpjets and better hitboxes, though missing missiles and the One True Shield Arm. Very XL-friendly. Feels a bit slow, even at 82kph (this coming from a Heavy pilot), but good jumpjet lift.

SilentSooYun Its a great chassis that works well to compliment a decent medium/heavy lance. I prefer it over the Centurion but both have their strengths. The only thing I miss from the original Enforcer is the motorcycle cop style head it had, its been lost here for the more insect like design.

I picked up an Enforcer the other day (the Ghillie hero, I wanted a CBill Mech and I'm a filthy Davonist), I'm running an AC 10, 4 x Medium Lasers, and the Guardian ECM that came with it. It's not the fastest, but it's fast enough, it's not the toughest, but it's tough enough, it doesn't have the most firepower, but it has enough, everything is in balance with this Mech, and it never feels like it's lacking anything. It just works for me and as a result it has quickly become my favourite Mech! So I spent a little more money on it and altered the custom paint colours to make it look like 1st Federated Suns Armoured Cavalry with a ghillie suit over it, including the appropriate decals :D

Funnily enough I run my davion 'mechs in the 1st armoured colours. Bright green with white trim and the 1st armoured decal. I wish I had the MC for the decals of all the units :D Also the enforcer is a great 'mech, just wish the head was more like the original art.

I'm actually really digging it's look. It's got a sort'a stormtrooper look about it, which is what Davion used it for - mass produced, cheap, reliable, effective, stormtroopers. Also it's very accurate to the original mini/art, which is nice. I was thinking of getting a centurion, but now I think I'm leaning towards enforcer. It might not be as OP or whatever, but I like the mini and the card from the Battletech Trading Card Game, and now I find I really like the MWO design. If nothing else, like you said, it's nice to have options for the variety.

TheRavenArchon I do like the enforcer over the centurion also, but then I always like the underdog :) My personal fav for that is the poor vindicator, that little guy is so underutilised it's a crime.

I love the enforcer. One of my favorites from lore. Glad to have a new medium to use. I use almost only mediums. Shadow Cat is on its way! I am so stoked!

ProgHead89 Already pre-ordered my wave III pack. Not a fan of the clans in the lore but the 'Mechs are cool and hell its more content for the channel. Enforcer though is very fun, love that AC/10

Aww you're crazy. There are some awesome clan mechs. I am CJF in game but I like both IS and Clan equally.

ProgHead89 Its not that I hate clan 'Mechs, some are great like the vulture and ryoken but the clans ruined battletech with their introduction. MWO isn't responsible or anything its just they screwed tabletop and I am in two minds about how PGI are handling CW right now.

Yeah, I think they made the torso a bit too lengthy, I don't mind the head as much. I think it looks good as a kind of mass production brawler looking 'mech, whilst the Centurion has always looked a bit more fancy, this looks like more of a 'mech where if you want some firepower, armor, speed and a cheap price, this is what you'll get. Can't wait for the (R) geometry. March 3rd god damn. >.

Denchie Dean I kind of hope the special geometry will make the head look a little more like the concept since that looks great, or maybe give us the motorcycle cop helmet style of the original :)
