Well sir you've gained a subscriber. I've got the JM6-FB and JM6-A so far, can't wait to get the DD, I love ballistics in this game. Interesting build with the dual Gauss, I'll have to consider it when I get mine. If you see the FB on sale I highly recommend it, I have 2 ER-LL and 2-AC5s on the thing. I can snipe without worry about ammo and then when they get to mid range I let loose on the ACs, it tears them up and makes it harder for them to hit me while I hit them (usually add an ER or 2 at the same time if the heat isn't bad). My JM6-A has 2 A+LRM15s and 2 LL, it doesn't sound like much but I'm usually up in the 800-900 dmg range with lots of assists. Plus they don't expect an LRM boat to have anything more than ML; Surprised that hunch when I shot him in the face with 2 LL and he blew up! XD

The cockpit glass thing is kind of interesting. Originally in Battletech canon, the black stripes/panels on the head portion of the 'Mech were meant to be sensors that worked similar to a retina or the film in a camera and the images that were picked up by them were projected onto monitors in front of the pilot who would sit inside behind armor. Of course every single MechWarrior video game thus far has handled things differently and it makes sense to handle it that way, but technically it's incorrect.

I noticed you like to run Jagers. A favorite of mine is using 3 UACs and 2 medium lasers with enough ammo to last. Many other people who use this build refer to it as "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre."

I especially love it when the face eaters complain about friendly fire. DaB33f points this out in his vid about his 9xSPL Hunchie; if you are going to walk in front of your teammates' line of fire, expect to get shot in the back.

Best part is that the guy complains about situational awareness, even though he should have figured from the numerous gauss rounds flying past his head that there was a Jagermech there. I'm glad he got blown to pieces, because he deserved it for that.

It should be noted that the guy that complained about friendly fire at 23:49 wasn't the same guy SideStrafe shot in the back. HillSlam was on the other team and had a teammate with the same model mech as SideStrafe. For all we know, that really was the other guys fault.

Side Strafe, I suggested a button in the Mech Lab back in closed beta that would pull all the modules you owned out of all the Mechs, but they did not use that.

Dude, Usrka Jinx, dONT cARE, Heart Dust and BoJack Horseman sound like the same exact person. I'm dying of laughter reading your comments. PS: Hawken and MWO are in no way the same kind of game. Hawken is a fast-paced twitch-shooter in which you run around in a television set(I really don't like the mech design, otherwise it seems pretty fun, or at least seemed, before it died. Never played, so sorry if I make mistakes, but note that this is my opinion based of videos I've seen). MWO, on the other hand, is a slow-paced, tactical(yes, TACTICAL) shooter. And the mechs ARE customisable. Victory is usually achieved trough teamwork and skill.(I'm not saying that Hawken is, or wasn't, skill-based, probably more than MWO, but there is, or, again, was, less teamwork involved). So, in the end, they are both mech games, but no way in hell are they the same goddamn game.

I have pretty much those same complaints about the new UI. It's definitely an improvement, but still needs work. Also, Jagers and Blackjacks are freakin amazing, but I still love my Commandos.

If you like hull down fighting, you should try Battlemaster; 6 lasers on shoulders, absurdly tall and some lrms as a cherry on top, - the ballistics, however, tend to be on the arms.

Man I just started playing Mechwarrior Online at the same time as the titanfall "beta", and in my opinion the gameplay is SO MUCH BETTER in mwo! Love the customization, the large maps, all the different roles etc. I haven't even paid anything yet. Usually I hate f2p titles simply because they're not that enjoyable without paying (imo). Mwo have a nice balance where you can get by without paying if you just experiment with a very small amount of different mechs. And with all the customization that's fun as hell :) The prices for actually buying stuff with money is a bit to steep though. Hope we will get a new mechgame like mwo without the f2p nonsense, that would be awesome. OR something like if you pay 100usd you unlock everything... I know it's not gonna happen any times soon but...

But now for a quick game related question because I've been hunting around tryin to find a mech I like because my play style is good speed and fast kills. In world of tanks I love the ramII tank. So in your opinion what would be my ideal mech?

Hmm, well the Ram II isn't really that fast so maybe a medium mech with some sort of AC2 weapon load out for fast firing lower damage like a Ram. Hard to compare, they are two very different games.

I wish they kept a version of the old Home screen. The ability to "queue" up four mechs i find is the only thing i miss. As i have over 50 mechs (0.o) at this point, and that is going to jump up to over 75 when the clan mechs release it would just be nice to have that option, especially when you are trying to level a chassis. Also...wish they had a strip all selection, to just strip every single mech i own of items and modules. Would help free up all my engines/weps/modules so i dont have to go and strip the mechs one by one....takes...for.....ever!!!

another world of something type game clone like the old saying goes the more change there is the more the same old broken story goes on longer, it toke me a day to find out WOA sucked very bad it only toke me 4 hrs to find out mech warrior online sucked big time and not only was it bad enough the driving controls was way out of wack and you did not earn any sort of MC nvm the fact you fought and died and your team still loosed you did not get any MC at all and seeing red team win all fights i mean hell i was in two fights where they did not lose anyone mechwarrior online has hellish jump sniper land maps a lot to much of them hell mechwarrior online makes WOT and WOA look the lesser evil now at least there you can still advance very slowly and painfully if you happen to be on a team that loses a lot but at least there is a chance your team could win still

I have to take issue with your comments about the cockpit glass. Those of us who were, and still are, complaining about it are doing so because it is causing us medical issues. In my case, before they toned it down, it was giving me optical migraines and now it is just giving me headaches. Should I have to stop playing a game I have invested hundreds of dollars, and over 300 hours, in because they made a change and didn't consider the possible effect it would have players? They should have made it a toggle that you could switch on and off. They have said it was for immersion purposes only so having it on or off should not impact game play in any way and there for we should have a choice on whether or not to play with it on or off.

you know you could always force full screen by pressing alt+enter. it's an old windows shortcut and works for most programs, even ones that don't officially support full screen.

We do because light mechs are broken atm. Hit boxes just don't feel right, and killing a spider takes more time and shots than killing an atlas. Knockdowns still aren't back and you cannot collide with small mechs to make them stop and fall down. That's why.

Not to be bossy or anything but you should at least try to get somewhat comfortable with brawling sidestrafe doesnt have to be a mainstay but it, is a bit more intense then sniping and might help you get better when you do get swarmed in your black jack or jager.

I hear what you're saying, but I have a lot of mechs and I have tried out a variety of styles and my score is always best at range. Also when playing with team mates it allows me to provide cover while they brawl. I like this game because there's tons of ways to play.

well i was gonna ask if they actually put any sort of usable netcode in the game, but after seeing that spider, i know they haven't UI 2.0 doesn't look bad though. but yeah, i played all the way through half of closed and all of open beta. plus about a month after launch, and it looks like all the problems are still there. the game had so much potential, but cheap and incompetent developers (who are also pulling some shady stuff with people's money) just ruined 90% of the chances it had.

AirCommando12 not really Cod = mwo and csgo = hawken, mwo is slow dull and no real skill is needed at all... game is just crap was made in like 2013? or 14 or so yet looks like it was made in 05. ppl said hawken died due to the company fucked up and died. it got picked up by another, its doing alot better now then it was before, hawken ever had a ton of players but at this rate it will have more then it ever did with the frist company. also dosnt matter how differnt games are, they are the same typ of games, thats why u can compair CoD with any other fps. same with hawken n mwo. only real differnt is the Quility of the game, Mwo is just pathetic as fuck compare to how games are today. i rember lookin up mwo and seeing WHEN it was made, it was a year old or so when this started.. the commets... that game is a scam. compare to real f2p games, they should pay you to play it

Can't compare it to hawken because I dont play that game. It is slower paced but don't think MWO is watered down. Theres a lot of mech customization, and currently 11 big maps with variants and 3 in the new community warfare mode. This feels more like a tank game, and hawken looks more like other shooters. Personally, I think if you're driving giant robots they should feel more like tanks.

Your wrong about the customization. Theres countless configurations and game balance that is good enough that you see a variety of mechs each game. Maybe you were just piloting the trial mechs which you do not own and can not configure. This website demonstrates what you can do with regards to customizing weapon/engine/equipment loadouts and upgrades. mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab# Hawken is a twitch shooter, and mechwarrior has more of a simulator feel to it. I don't know why you want to make this a competition on which ones better but you've lost that seeing people barely play hawken anymore.

UI2.0 is pathetically lacking. The only good thing about it is fullscreen. The ability to see loadouts and hardpoints and modules and ENGINE SIZES needs alot of work.

True, they promised they'll improve that but they had to deliver the UI 2.0 on the set date because else they'd got themselves in a very bad position. So they delivered it, even if it's incomplete and lacking features/usability. Try to understand them, if you can.

Seriously UI 1.5 was better than 2.0. Honestly why did we need a full screen interface why is that such a big idea? I'd rather have a mech bay that actually worked well instead of a full screen waste of space and squares. :(

Because a 720p window is a joke in a game where you spend more time in the mech bay than you do playing the game. Regardless of weather this UI is better or worse they needed to provide a full screen full resolution option ages ago. This one needs work, but there's way more potential.

The game is free to play. Just gotta be patient and every mech will be released for free, eventually. Noone compels you to spend a single cent. On my part, I did because I wanted to support the game. Not going to give 500$ for a gold mech though... :-) But the clan pack offers have been improved, go check for yourself. With the gold mech now you get the full clan pack, so it's 500$ for 25 mechs and some more goods (premium time, xp boosters and the like).
