@@nitishagiri.6640 That depends. First years can't modify a lot. You can always bring your own furniture. Once you get to second year, you get more spacious rooms and lesser people per room. Then you are also allowed to have other electrical instruments like induction cooking stove, etc. You may ask warden for permission if you want to repaint. Posters, boards, revision maps on walls is fine. I don't know if soundproofing or other expensive stuff is allowed tho, we haven't checked yet.

@@nitishagiri.6640 Most of them stay as 2 in a 8×10ft/10×12ft room room basis. I guess the situation is similar for girls. But then there are some rooms as big as a mini multipurpose hall (say 15×30ft), here 5-6 people stay. But First year students have to live in way more crowed rooms. As much as I have heard, GMC Mumbai has best (govt) hostel accommodation than any other (medical) college in Mumbai. Unless, you plan to stay in a rented flat, this is the best you've got.
