Another reason why I miss a good WW2 shooter these days, the soundtrack. Medal of Honor, Call of Duty, Brothers in Arms, all had one standard quality most of the time, a epic soundtrack. Some modern shooters have them too but not even close to this epicness.

It's so sad that these precious, brave men who fought in that horrible war seventy years ago are passing away. When I was 4, there were 8 million American WWII vets; now there's only 650,000. Their legacies never deserve to die; even when the last veterans go to meet the Lord in heaven, I'll keep their memories alive in my heart.

The thing is, we can't fully blame EA for everything, because think about it: they made the original Medal of Honor games as well as the new. To sum up my opinion, I will quote the movie Psycho: 'I don't hate EA, I hate what EA has become'.
@vito74288 жыл бұрын
All of the creators of these games are either missing or have grown to a greedy monster.Brothers In Arms went MIA.Medal Of Honor was sacrificed as a Modern Shooter that failed in order to compete with Call Of Duty.And Call Of Duty has grown into a monster shitting out effortless games just for cash.Call Of Duty World At War was the last survivor.I just hope someday.Someone like millions of us will rise up and satisfy our need for another good WW2 Shooter.

Some of the recent Call of Duty's were good, the Modern Warfare series was amazing to be honest. It all went to shit since Advanced Warfare came out though. Hopefully the rumours are correct about it being CoD: WWII this year, if not, Batallion 1944 should be out next year!

The original Call of Duty games, Medal of Honor, and Brothers In Arms. The gameplay and story aren't the only things that made those games amazing, it was also the uplifting music played within the games. It provided atmosphere and a sense of heroism. Those games, old WW2 shooters like those games, they will continue to be valid and fuel nostalgia because of the music those games have. A return to form needs to come eventually, including all that made these games as memorable as they are today. My childhood right here, and I am sure is also many other people's childhoods.

Hey, they've been doing Anniversary versions for Halo (something I'm really excited for) and EA ought to take a leaf out of that line of thought and get a total model and texture revamp of the game. No need to debate balance or anything, just make these old masterpieces look next gen and then we can experience the whole thing all over again with the beauty we didn't have.

CG Refuse the campaign while trying to realistic was short, lazy and scripted no real effort was thrown there mostly smoke and mirrors the multiplayer with now added hardcore mode is MUCH better now though my statement about the lack of content remains still, game feels... premium early access
@TheSharpmarksman8 жыл бұрын
CG Refuse the Arditi part felt very AAA Zara part was ultra buggy for me (the third satchel didn't drop for me, had to restart the whole damn level just to fix the glitch) flight chapters were nice but felted very virtuallized, (though i liked being on the ground listening to all those Germans tell their stories, and carrying your co-pilot like a total hero) i only felt REAL WW1 vibes from the Prolouge and from the Runner campaign (the Aussie guy saving the kid) the tanker was genuinely good ruined by pathetic enemy A.I dying like bitches even on hardmode, and the ending scene where he guns down 5-6 germans with his pistol while carrying the wounded welsh guy very insult to authenticity when in reality he would've been gunned down like i said, it was a nice change of pace from the "Hurrah" shooters but still classified as "AAA material" also the "you're leaving the level" restriction pissed me off to high heaven, ESP on the tanker mission terrible designs meets linearity and forced paths
@MrMooFlarby8 жыл бұрын
+TheSharpmarksman It's supposed to be a cinematic experience. That's why it's scripted, not an open world. Besides they actually gave you multiple ways to approach levels with different strategies unlike many other mainstream shooters. And yes it is unrealistic, but remember these are war stories about people with outstanding experiences. Is it likely they would survive being rushed by 6 enemies? No, but these are special people, hence them being the subject of a game. Kind of like how Audi Murphy's and that one Finnish sniper's stories are crazy and sound unbelievable, but they indeed true.
@TheSharpmarksman8 жыл бұрын
Das Nightmare the only chapters with multiple ways of approuching were the Italian campaign and the Arabian campaign the Aussie was scripted as hell and the Pilot you were granted the option to complete the level without killing anyone (though doubtful any person would go through that) in ways, yes the campaign is actually good but extremely short if they add more "short stories" in the future about the French front i'll be most pleased i really dislike the focus on the American/British forces and Italians speaking english give me some immersion for chirst sake!

@zeelands09 You're referring to FlaK Jackets. They were extremely heavy, and did an impressive job of deflecting fragmentation. They could not, however, stop the 7.92x57 round used by the Karabiner 98, MG34, MG42, Gewehr 43, Sturmgewehr-44, or many of the other weapons. While I would not normally condone reference to a movie, Saving Private Ryan and Band of Brothers are a few of the films that were actually representative of the events in WWII.
