Arthur Jackson, Medal of Honor, WWII

On Peleliu, in the Western Pacific, in September 1944, Private First Class Arthur Jackson single-handedly attacked enemy bunkers that had been pinning down American forces, destroying 12 of them. Jackson received the Medal of Honor on October 5, 1945.
