Godfrey Official Kizomba and zouk originates from kompa which is why they are soo similar and missed if you are not familiar to the dance in this video here there is a mixture but more GOUYAD, also to note semba which is also Angolan dance is a sped up version of kizomba.

@Moi Moi so true i thought kompa came from kizomba, i did my research and realize angola and cape verde were influenced by kompa, but cape verde had their own dance called passada, which was not from Kompa but still looked similar, passada mixed with kompa moves created Kizomba

I’ve found Kompa harder. I think it’s the fact that it seems much more intimate and slow and just nasty ( in a good way) there’s much more room for free styling in kompa too so it makes it difficult for me at least. Two totally different things lol
