For time 00:31:00, shouldn't the second example be partially compensated metabolic acidosis?

The abg first question doesn’t make sense as far as the answer. What’s causing the blow up of co2 should be fix 1st. O2 in abg is normal.

Good morning! We received a response from Cammy today: The patient's ABG suggests acute non-compensated respiratory alkalosis. When you look to see why, the patient is breathing fast and blowing off the CO2 (you are correct). But the question is why are they breathing fast?? The physiologic reason for hyperventilation is: hypoxemia or metabolic acidosis--this example demonstrates tissue hypoxia. Although a normal PAO2 is 80-100---for this patient it is hypoxic. Hope this helps. - Cammy
