Awesome video! I was thinking about Medellin, laureles specifically. What is making me hesitant is the safety.

Laureles is a great neighbourhood! Just be careful - take ubers, avoid being flashy, cautious with women, etc.

Like the video. Never being in Mexico City but it sounds that I can compare it to Bogota. Considering they are both capitals. There’s more food variety in Bogota than Medellín also more museums and outdoor activities. I love Medellin since it’s my family’s hometown but I was born in San Andres. And I lived in both Bogota and Medellin and personally as a city Bogota is often overlooked and it has so much to offer. Street performers, museums, food, even nightlife I think is a win for the capital. Safety and transportation Medellin wins there.

Can't believe you didn't covered public transportation (including bike lanes and systems) as its own section. Most digital nomads won't be buying a car while staying at a large city, so traffic becomes less relevant if there are options (subway, BRT's with exclusive lanes, etc.). As a Mexico City resident for 20 years, and having lived in some of the neighborhoods you mention, buying a car has never crossed my mind, I ride to most places, with the subway and Metrobús (BRT) coming in second place. An über would only be used on rare occasions such as when going out at night when traffic is minimal. Otherwise great video, I've been to Bogotá and look forward to Medellín soon!

Most DNs use uber as their main form of transportation. I think it might be because of how car centric the US is.

Super presentation Isabelle. How is the AirBnB scene in Mexico City? It's definitely on my radar as for me Mexican is the best food on the planet. I also love city noise. I'm not a digital nomad but a retiree that likes to travel occasionally.

Tons of airbnb availability in Mexico City though it's definitely more expensive than other cities in LATAM. If you like good food and noise, you'll love it haha. Late September-Early November is nice for the independence day & dia de los muertos celebrations.

Can you compare Medellin to Bogota? .......If you have been to Bogota. Thanks

I've been to Bogota a couple times but haven't stayed long enough to really judge the city fairly yet.

You cant compare a town with a megalopolis
@isabellerdgz8 ай бұрын
CDMX is bigger than Medellín but Medellín is certainly not a town with a population of 2.57M. Toronto's population is 2.9M and no one would call Toronto a town.

Good review! I would love tyo live in a GREEN city like Medellin...........How many Green cities do you know about???
@isabellerdgz9 ай бұрын
Medellin is probably one of the greenest I've been to. London is greener than I thought it'd be - lots of parks.
