I'm not even surprised any longer with the current Australian government, and what is being taught and is allowed to happen at universities is having severe long term consequences as well. What has been allowed to happen after October 7 on the streets all over Oz with the vilest protests ever starting in Sydney. I'm so glad oth my parents (child survivors) passed away not that long before October 7, and did not have to witness what happened in the West ever since. Survivors came to Australia after the war and found safety to start a new life. We are not scared! We are not living in fear, my family came on the First Fleet in 1788, Jews have been living in Australia for over 200 years and built this country along with other people of other religions. I am sure all Australians who read or hear about what has occurred in Melbourne would be shocked and surprised that this incident has occurred. I really think that any of us who have seen this incident will be deeply affected by it. As far as I know the only similar incident that has occurred in Australia was in December 2005 in Cronulla Sydney. There is absolutely no place in Australian society for these incidents to occur. The question to all our politicians, State and Federal, is ………what are you individually going to do to prevent ANY repeat of this type of anti Jewish and anti Australian activity?

Mandatory sentencing for this form of self evident hate within our Country should be rushed through both Federal and State Parliaments across Australia. To ensure the message is loud and clear we have zero tolerance for this form of disrespect and abuse. We will not tolerate the anachists.
