Gotham haven't allowed their general manager or manager in front of a microphone to say anything of substance since the 2024 semi finals while their roster crumbled in front of the fans faces this offseason. No, they let the players face the media in their place first. "Yeah! lets let the injured player who had surprise ankle surgery a month after the season ended and wont be ready for the regular season to start go out there and share her official recovery prognosis with the media!" - Gotham FC PR team... Brilliant, sound, professional organization stuff right there. Looking forward to seeing "foreseeable future" on the medical report.

I love all these players, but this press conference was painful. Horrible questions. No relaxed banter. Unwarranted opinion but probably not wanted, it would be beneficial for team players to receive guidance on responding... The "ums" and serious nature of all four make it feel like they don't want to be there. This is a time to communicate with their fans and open up. It doesn't have to be like dental surgery. Perhaps, it's best if other players do these press conferences.
