This is no joke. I grew up just outside of Amish county in Chester County PA. Spent a lot of time dealing with them and doing business with them. This is what gives me pause. If you go to 538 Swing o Matic and increase Trump up one point which results in Harris going down a half and Trump going up a half point in the popular vote, Trump gets to 272 EV. He is polling at 48.5 average but even at 47.3 he wins the Electoral College. At 48.5 which is where he is polling, he should win 313 EV. If the polling is underestimating Trump which is what happened in both of the last elections, he would win 329 EV. I don't think Harris can win statistically because even at the current polling, Trump wins big in the EV. The only way she can win is if the polls are underestimating her support which I seriously doubt! Trump 2024!

The Iowa poll shows that the economy was the 4th top issue with voters, when it is #1 in every state and in past Iowa polls. "Threats to Democracy" is number 1 at 51%. That should give it away as a propaganda poll. When John Deere and Tysons Foods are laying off thousands in Iowa and corn prices are bottoming out for farmers, the economy is not at 4th place.

As CushmanDavis stated, John Deere and Tyson Foods have been laying off workers (meaning jobs are going causing further economic issues) and corn has been dropping in the market which means agriculture is taking a further hit. Iowa is an agricultural state and any hit to agriculture, never mind three, would cause economic hardship.

The Emerson poll that came a day later in Iowa is apparently focused on issues that voters are concerned about in this election unlike the Des Moines Register everyone is talking about. Those issues are economic mainly, while the other poll was focused on abortion rights and polled with surprise surprise mainly democrats. The Emerson poll, with its focus on the economy, and shows Trump way up.
