If you want to improve your psychological knowledge in a way that is more fun than just studying and trying to memorise, I recommend reading a popular science book. You will be surprised how often the ideas in these books pop up in your actual course! And you’re far more likely to actually understand these ideas having read about their wider context.
Check out my website psychboost.com/psychology-boo... for my review of each of these books including why they will help with your A level!

100% I'm mostly jealous of game streamers view counts. If I keep playing maybe I can get good enough to turn psych boost into a gaming channel!

Your videos are so good. I am self taught studying for an ALevel and whenever I find something quite complex, or don't quite get it, your videos are always useful and also add an extra layer. Thank you!!

my psych teacher went through 4 types of studies (experiments, correlations, longitudinal, and meta-analyses) that she said we can use as AO1 for media questions but they aren't covered here or in other videos ive found, do I need to know these or can I keep to the 3 explanations?

I'm assuming you are studying AQA A level psychology if so... Usually research studies unless explicitly named by the specification are used as evaluations (A03) of the psychological concepts named in the specification. This part of the specification states *"Media influences on aggression, including the effects of computer games. The role of desensitisation, disinhibition and cognitive priming." So can you explain what those things are? That is the A01 requirement. *Evaluating* that knowledge may include research evidence. If your still doubtful go to the AQA website and take a look at the past exam papers and official mark schemes.

@@PsychBoost Thanks, yep I am doing AQA a level psych. With all the past questions I've done too it definitely seems to only ask about the explanations. Thanks for the help and I love the videos :)
