@steveclegg use the captions. Also disconnect to any media that you were previously connected to anything with bluetooth. That worked for me

Anyone having media volume issues, that is, every other volume level can be adjusted, but media volume is at the lowest and greyed out, what worked for me was turning off "do not disturb". It'll make the media volume work again, and then you can turn on "do not disturb", and continue as normal. Hope this helps.

That's what fixed mine, too. Volume cut off for media (phone and Bluetooth) and also it reset the other volumes. Happened after I used the find my phone app that came with the Samsung phone. Doesn't do it with a normal call making it ring, nor does it do it if do not disturb mode is off. (I have it set up to let certain calls through, and had one of them give me a ring to test it) Dunno if this knowledge will help anyone finding this later or not, but just in case

Didn't help me, just got an update and no sound at all it's not even an option to turn it up anymore. I have a circle with a line through it as an icon on top where my battery 🔋 indicator is. UPDATE: "Do Not Disturb" button was turned on after update June 2022

I had "do not disturb" on as well. Its confusing... I thought I was turning that on with the custom schedule but the button is a separate operation to keep that on all the time. 😬

For some reason, when I slid the notifications bar, there are two buttons (not the icons like for sound, bluetooth etc) called devices and media. I hit media and it let me change my audio output back to phone. Idk how it swapped.. I don't plug anything into my phone lmao

I am finding that when I'm using the do not disturb schedule, it won't allow me to listen to a video or an audiobook during the time I am in do not disturb. The media volume is off and locked in the off position. Is that how it is supposed to be?

If you use Bluetooth sometimes if bluetooth is on the sound will be wanting to send to your earbuds and not to your phone itself so turning off Bluetooth will then let the speaker in your phone work

If it didn't work, try this: Go to settings then sound and vibration then go to separate app sound, turn it on and then choose KZbin or Facebook(you can choose which app).

@@bobz27 not without a Bluetooth speaker. The mic no longer works for voice to text or any other functions. The music symbol for the media bar in sound settings is Red color. The other settings are their normal color. I bought this Samsung a12 with a Sprint/Tmobile plan. After some months I changed to straight talk. No problems until they said I had to change Sim cards. They could not get any to work with my phone so I had to change back to Tmobile. No problem until the Tmobile technician at their store changed Me back over. My sound or mic has not worked since. He can't fix it, Tmobile Tech support Told me since I bought it at Walmart They have to give me a ñew one since it's still on warranty. The sales man at Walmart (same one who sold it to me) Says I have to take it to a Tmobile Corporate store Which I do. They tell me they no longer Fix phones and give me a number to call. I call it, they Same Tech support answers telling me to go back to Walmart. The circle starts again
