For those who don’t understand overstaying, it’s actually because without a valid visa, it’s actually illegal or highly unlikely to ever get a job or even to do most things that regular citizens can do like buy a car or rent a flat. It’s also a drain on public resources as they could easily claim benefits or other things if they can slip by undetected in the system. So it’s actually a correct thing the uncle did since these ladies exploited a local and by right shouldn’t be in Singapore once the visa or permit expires.
