A very simple but beautiful contrast between them, is how much warmer and more familiar "You can always come home" sounds compared do it's predecessor. In Undertale, Toriel desperately wanted for you to stay, to make this your home. But despite her wishes, you don't belong here. This used to be the house of family, a family you have nothing to do with, and you must leave to continue on with your journey. That's why it sounds more distant, even "breaking down" at parts. In Deltarune, this is Kris' home. They live, they belong there. They return there at the end of each day. The difference in their titles also reflects that.

One idea (although it may be too difficult) is to do what Tomska did with asdf movie, which would give you more accurate results. For this, you would be shown two randomly selected songs from the soundtracks, and you pick your favourite. Then repeat. That way, unmemorable songs that are still really good still get an ok mark

I didn't notice it much as first, but listening to it again it's got a sick melody. It's like a better version of Run! I wish it placed much higher. [38] Another one I saw getting a low place. Basement is an okay song and very creepy, but not very memorable. [37] Yeah Gallery is just a weird one lol. [36] Probably like You Idiot to Your Best Nightmare, the actual fight theme of Vs Susie is much more popular than the intro, Imminent Death. [35] Aw I really liked The Door too, especially with the Nightmare Knight part. Wish The Chase placed higher than it though. [34] Y'all voted Weird Birds at all as a joke right. [33] The Holy's pretty cool, and is really powerful feeling, but at the same time it plays for so short in the game and isn't terribly memorable. [28] April 2012 is a small bop, so this was a good placement. [27] Oh c'mon you guys could've made this song place higher. Trash Machine is an amazing elevator remix of Lancer's theme and I love it. [26] While Card Castle is basically a lesser Chaos King, it's really good at making the Card Castle creepy in its simplicity. It deserves a better placement. [25] The Circus I was surprised didn't place higher considering its connection to Jevil. Plus its just a really creepy and cool song in general. [24] Susie has such a badass theme, but yeah I don't think many people know it. That scene definitely helped it be a memorable theme for me. Good placement though. [23] Ok I get that Darkness Falls is the death theme that's even optional to hear if you die, so you probably never heard it unless you went on the OST. Even so this song is so hauntingly beautiful and it deserves so much better!!! [22] Lantern probably could've placed higher as well, but I think this is fine. It's such a cool shop theme! Though of the two in this soundtrack it definitely should've placed higher. [21] I'm surprised Empty Town placed this high, given it's basically a lesser The Legend, and is supposed to be pretty simple and empty for the, y'know empty town. Don't think it should've placed _quite_ that high but it's ok. [20] Ok I get Another Him is an awesome creepy song for the intro, (and has that cool bit of Gaster's theme) but there are so many other creepy songs that deserved this placement more. Even so it's alright, at least one made it this high. [19] I agree with the caption, it's a nice and cool song that makes good use of Don't Forget, A Town Called Hometown, and Snowdin Town, but at the same time it's not really that memorable to me, it feels very plain when compared to the rest of the OST. Not that it's not supposed to be, it's a good theme for the area, but it really shouldn't have been quite that high. [18] A Town Called Hometown is basically the Reunited of Deltarune. You listen to it so much going throughout Hometown, and its really is such a joyful song. Plus I love how the beginning of it in 3/4 lines up with The Circus, as yet another thing to show something's off about Hometown. [17] While A Town Called Hometown is the Reunited of Deltarune because you walk around for a while listening to it, at the same time Friendship fits the feeling of Reunited much better. It's a cool song that makes you feel happy for sparing everyone! I love how well it uses Don't Forget. Could've placed higher imo, but this spot is good. [16] Yessss! Despite how short it is, The Beginning is so good at hyping up the game! That trumpet always felt so good for me, it prominently introduces the Don't Forget motif and I loves how it uses Once Upon a Time. It's an awesome song that pumps you up but doesn't overstay its welcome. It had a good placement. [15] I have a feeling Rouxls Kaard would place pretty high, and while I may not believe it's better than all the previous songs, it does deserve this spot. It's such an awesome theme for an ultimately wimpy character. [14] Guys... I get Hip Shop is like an awesome lo-fi song and it's also part of the meme, but better than Rouxls Kaard? And Lantern? It really should've been much lower. [13] Hm, really wasn't expecting Before the Story to place this high. I'm pleasantly surprised. It's a beautiful song, though it never really stuck with me? If anything it probably should've been lower. [12] While the cynical part of me wants to say You Can Always Come Home should've been lower, I just can't bring myself to. It's an amazing rendition of Home with the blend of Don't Forget and Once Upon a Time! It was amazing to hear Home again, and it truly deserves this spot. Toby you know your fans too well. [11] Checker Dance is best song and it deserves all the placements. That is all. [10] Vs. Lancer is such a cool battle version of Lancer's Theme, though I felt it was always a little too short, never quite doing much past just making Lancer's Theme into a battle theme. This spot is ok I guess. [9] Yes good job Scarlet Forest! Scarlet Forest is great in its own way, being such a cool orchestral song, with this gracefulness that fits the forest so well. I'm glad it placed this well. [8] I'm honestly surprised Rude Buster wasn't in the top 5. Rude Buster is an awesome battle theme that always makes me want to dance every time I hear it. All the love it's gotten is well deserved. [7] Don't Forget is a cool song. I've always thought it felt... unfinished? Like there could be more to it. I was surprised it placed this high at first, but given all the love for Laura Shigihara I can see why. It's got some very cool lyrics, and I wonder what it means for the game. [6] Lancer's Theme is just a jazzy bop. It's so sassy for this cool kiddo who's gonna knock your socks off! I did expect it to place pretty high given how popular Lancer is, but maybe not quite this high. [5] The Legend definitely deserves this spot! It builds up so well with the drums in a way that Once Upon a Time never did. It really makes you feel like a hero! C'mon Ralsei and Susie, let's save the dark world! [4] Okay, woah. I did not expect Vs. Susie to place this high, but it really deserves it! Vs. Susie is this awesome rock song that shows the true levels of anger and betrayal Susie's insecurities can cause her to reach. You've made a mistake pissing her off. It's so badass and I'm glad it's getting this much love! [3] Oho boy do I love this song. Chaos King perfectly combines the Spade King's motif and Lancer's theme like in Card Castle, but that bit of The Legend felt so unexpected the first time I heard it. But it makes sense! This is the climax of your adventure after all! I love how final it feels, finally fighting this irredeemable king at the end of your journey. It feels very... well, chaotic at points too, like everything's crashing down on this battle. It fits the Spade King's ominous feeling! [2] I think we all knew The World Revolving would place this high. Its popularity with Jevil, and plus just the fact it's one of the best battle themes Toby has ever made assured it this spot. It's a crazy circus themed battle theme, that just goes so hard I love it! Though, I'm pleasantly surprised that it was still beaten by one song... *[1]* Field of Hopes and Dreams! And I can't say it was undeserved. Field of Hopes and Dreams is one of the best area themes Toby has ever written, and that's comparing it to Another Medium, Waterfall, and CORE! It's this joyful song that marks the start of your adventure. It almost feels _too_ good for the area! All in all I'm happy with these placements. Many of the underrated tracks got a chance to shine, and a lot less of them seemed to be influenced by a biased popularity and memes. Great video!

I know this is old but honestly with Vs Susie I never saw it as her showing her true colors but more as a tragic song, like the song tries to sound intimidating but to me it sounds sad as Susie feels shes been completely betrayed by the one friend she had, And just like in the fight all that intimidation ends with her unable to follow through kinda like how the song ends on a somewhat abrupt note

Also if you're talking of the one I'm thinking of, that one sure isn't one of Minus's best that's for sure. Definitely his weakest animation, the acting was atrocious and the animation doesn't compare to most of his other work especially stuff like Yoshi's Island or Ghost Dance. But no, they were talking about the real Temmie, the talented animator who makes all of the art in Toby's games that actually looks good.

Darkness Falls actually kind of gets me emotional because it plays to a black screen after you chose not to try again after you die, implying that you failed to meet your destiny, causing the world to most likely end. Kinda depressing if you think about it. I often feel guilty after rage quitting, and because of that, I just end up crying sometimes.
